So I’ve been holding off in dressing my Kristoff in his default outfit as it looked so frumpy and long. But since Kristoff has bigger muscles and a longer torso he fills out his outfit a bit better and so I can finally have my Disney store dolls in their movie outfits all again.
I do want hope Kristoff gets a second release though from the Disney Store cuz I do want to experiment with his outfit more (like cutting out the undershirt and making a proper jumper for him and cutting down on the long inaccurate fur) plus I’d like to have a spare Kristoff head to be more of a casual doll.
Frozen Pin Trading Starter Set. Open Edition, $32.95. Opened package. Contents consists of lanyard with four pins (Anna, Elsa, Olaf and Sven, Kristoff) and plastic card.
I visited Disneyland today, Sunday, June 29, 2014. First I went to World of Disney. They were sold out of the new Frozen pin starter sets. However, I did get a new Tinker Bell key chain, the Ralph and Vanellope OE pin and the July 4th Tinker Bell LE pin from WoD. Then I went to Disneyland Park, and was told in 20th Century Music that Westward Ho in Frontierland had some of the Frozen starter sets. And sure enough they plenty in stock. A good pin buying day at DLR.

My new Kristoff Animators' doll has been fully deboxed. He is posed free standing. Photographed under natural lighting. Following is my personal review of the doll.
Review of Kristoff Animators' Doll
Kristoff is the first male character in the Disney Animators' Collection. The It's a small world England doll is also a boy, but he doesn't count in my book because he has the same face mold and hairdo as the other small world dolls, so looks like a girl to me, and also because he was never a character in a Disney movie. Kristoff has molded hair, versus the rooted hair of all of the other Animators' dolls. I don't mind that so much, as it permits the hair to be styled and yet avoid excessive hair product to maintain the look. His appearance and outfit are very accurate representations of the character as a toddler as shown in the early scenes of the movie Frozen. He joins the other main characters of the cast, Anna and Elsa, as toddler dolls, although the girls are not yet part of the Animators' Collection.
He stands 16 1/4'' H, about 1/2'' taller than the regular Animators' dolls, for instance Elsa, who is 15 3/4'' H. He as the same body as Elsa, but his head is much larger, which accounts for the height difference. Anna has arms and legs that are 1/2'' shorter, which accounts for her to be 1/2'' shorter than Elsa, so 1'' shorter than Kristoff. Since he has the Animators' doll body, he has ball jointed neck and shoulders, and swivel hips. His head rotates 360 degrees, and can tilt 30 degrees up and 10 degrees down. His arms rotate 360 degress around, and can swing out about 30 degrees. His hips are angled about 45 degrees from the vertical, so it forces his legs to be splayed out towards the sides when he sits down, and are actually 120 degrees apart when he sits down all the way. My Kristoff has a rather wobbly head, which I haven't experienced with any of my other Animators' dolls. It may be due to the size and weight of his head versus the other dolls.
His head is very large and round, topped by a mass of golden blonde molded hair. Most of his forehead is covered by his front bangs. He has large round dark brown close set eyes that are looking to right. He has no eyelashes, and long thick dark brown eyebrows. He has a big broad nose, and a small mouth with very thin salmon colored lips that are just slightly curved upwards, so it isn't quite a smile, but isn't a frown either. He has pink blush over most of cheeks (representing his exposure to cold weather). He has pale brown freckles over his cheeks and nose, and even a couple on his left ear. He has puffy cheeks, a weak chin and big round ears. His skin is a moderate tan tone in his face, with a much paler body, and less pinkish than other Animators' dolls (such as Ariel).
His outfit consists of a combo tunic and shirt, pants, gloves and boots. The tunic is dark gray faux suede with fur trim, a red satin belt and a long Velcro closure in the back. He has a half shirt of dark blue green faux fleece, consisting of long sleeves and false front, that is sewn to the inside of his tunic. His dark blue green faux fleece pants have an elastic waistband, and extend to about an inch short of his feet. He has dark gray faux leather mittens with an additional dark blue green fleece piece over the fingers, fur trim and faux dark brown suede straps. His boots are dark gray plastic with leather look, has artificial wear and curved pointy toes, and a slit in the back for ease of putting on and taking off the boots. This outfit is very close in look to the one worn by the Classic Kristoff doll.

Like Hans, I had to buy Kristoff because of his fabulous outfit. However, as a base for repainting, he's a bit disappointing - the head sculpt is very straight-faced (even more so than Hans, who has a slight quirk of the mouth), and his hair gets in the way, too. I gave him some freckles, more natural lips and made him look in the opposite direction, hopefully a bit less shiftily. He's got a new body too.
I bought the Frozen Castle in a local Disney Store on its release day, October 28, 2013. It is very impressive looking, half opened in its large carrying case. It has three stories, nine rooms, five sets of hinged doors, seven pieces of furniture, and five of character figures. The four humans all have movable arms and legs, and can free stand. Anna and Elsa even have cloth skirts. The castle opens up to be 24'' W x 21'' H x 7'' D, when fully closed it is only 12'' (if the side supports are taken off). It took over an hour to fully debox the castle, but it was lots of fun doing so, and enabled me to learn all the moving parts of the castle. The castle itself is very well built, and very sturdy. But in deboxing it, the original box is partially disassembled, so it may take a bit of effort to put it back in a state where it can be a carrying case for the castle again. Overall, I think it is worth its hefty retail price of $100.

A collage of some outtakes I got a few weeks ago. I thought they were boring by themselves but still had some potential so yeah, collage it is.

I tried to add some detail to the Queen's bodice like flickr buddy Richard Zimmons did, but I failed miserably. I really don't like how it looks + the paper I used tends to get caught on her hair and the braid gets messy rather easily :-/
A lot of people are complaining that he has this particular outfit and that it's cheaper, however I don't have this particular version and I think change is good.
Just eager to see how Anna's version would look like.
On their new obitsu bodies :)

BOX DATE: 2015
MANUFACTURER: Mattel
PERSONAL FUN FACT: This was my very first set of Frozen dolls. I know I was really late on the bandwagon, considering that the movie came out in late 2013...and I didn't get this set until spring 2016. Anyways, I recall that this gift set caught my eye when it first was put out at my local Wal-Mart. Honestly, many of the Mattel Frozen dolls, while cute, did not tempt me to open my wallet, being that they had mainly molded clothes (which I dislike). This set is really just repackaged basic Mattel dolls, wearing extra outfit pieces. But I just couldn't help myself when I found it for only $9! This scene was indefinitely one of my favorites from the movie (which I had watched twice when I got this pack--my sister's friend let us borrow her dvd the year before). This was the scene from the movie that made me really desperate for Anna and Kristoff to get together. I love how this pack not only comes with Anna and Kristoff, dressed in their "wedding" attire, but that it also is equipped with two trolls and Olaf. I love these sorts of figurines for my Disney display--they really add an extra layer of dimension and look super cute (although I don't have much room these days for accessories he he). I think that these two dolls are an awesome addition to my Disney collection! I had a blast making them stands, and finding a place on my "assorted" characters shelf. My only regret about this pack is the fact that it has very limited play value. As a child, I would have been sorely disappointed by the molded clothes that these dolls have.
Deboxing my new Kristoff Animators' doll. Photographed under natural lighting. First the doll is removed from the box by breaking the seals on the top lid, and sliding the backing tray out. The doll is still attached to the backing and plastic spacer by wires and rubber bands. He is about 1/2'' taller than the other Animators' dolls, which explains why his head is tilted so he could fit in the box.
First look at the Animators' Kristoff Doll. I will photograph boxed, during deboxing and fully deboxed. I will also pose him with comparable dolls.

Not enough stamina to do a full blog post on this one.. but was doing some after work photography in SL...
And as a system my brother was like "HEY IF IM UR TWIN WHY DONT I LOOK LIKE YOU"
... so we finally fixed that again LOL.
Daithi (Celtic for Davey/David pronouced Da-Hee) Kilkenny is an Astral Guardian or Angel that protects our system.
He calls our best friend system "Boss" lol.
He's known by two names because at some stage in his former life he'd swapped to using Kristoff Hanlon rather than Daithi Kilkenny.
He is the father of Eamonn, and adoptive father of D'tahra Kilkenny (?) and Nathaniel Adira Hanlon
I went for my weekly visit to Disneyland on Sunday, February 2, 2014. The park was fairly crowded, and the weather was mostly sunny in the low 60s. I went to the World of Disney store in Downtown Disney. The Frozen section was empty last week, but this week they had T-shirts for Anna, Elsa and Olaf, and a few miscellaneous items. No Frozen dolls at all. I took some photos of the Frozen posters in the area. Then I went to the collectibles and jewelry section, and took some photos of Disney icons behind the jewelry counter and on the ceiling.
In Disneyland Park, I went to the China Closet and decided to get a lovely musical snowglobe of Sleeping Beauty Castle. It plays "Once Upon a Dream" when wound up, and has a multi-color LED that shines alternating red and blue lights on the castle. There are figures of the first six Disney Princesses: Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle and Jasmine surrounding the globe. The scene depicts the Castle and the Princesses on a cloud. The figures are painted very nicely, and faces of the Princesses are very good representations of the movie characters.

BOX DATE: 2013
MANUFACTURER: Mattel
DOLLS IN PACK: Anna, Kristoff
MISSING ITEMS: Shoes, crown
PERSONAL FUN FACT: There are several versions of Anna's coronation dress manufactured by Mattel. But the "2 Pack" one, as shown in this photo, is unique. I am actually surprised by this fact, since the later years of Disney dolls produced by Mattel seem to be mostly repackaged/recycled/low quality ones. It's interesting that they took the time to slightly vary the dolls' ensembles. Even if this outfit were recycled, I would have known who my Anna was, as her Kristoff counterpart was also at the same Salvation Army the day we bought the couple. I love this gown very much, especially since my only other Anna doll currently has molded clothing (which is one of my pet peeves). She looks stunning in this green color, especially since it compliments her sweet red hair so well. Anna may not have still been wearing her shoes, but her factory necklace somehow stayed on her. I'm thinking that this set was barely played with based on the condition I got my dolls in. And of course their is the fact that kids really aren't all that interested in dolls these days!
