I bought the Frozen Castle in a local Disney Store on its release day, October 28, 2013. It is very impressive looking, half opened in its large carrying case. It has three stories, nine rooms, five sets of hinged doors, seven pieces of furniture, and five of character figures. The four humans all have movable arms and legs, and can free stand. Anna and Elsa even have cloth skirts. The castle opens up to be 24'' W x 21'' H x 7'' D, when fully closed it is only 12'' (if the side supports are taken off). It took over an hour to fully debox the castle, but it was lots of fun doing so, and enabled me to learn all the moving parts of the castle. The castle itself is very well built, and very sturdy. But in deboxing it, the original box is partially disassembled, so it may take a bit of effort to put it back in a state where it can be a carrying case for the castle again. Overall, I think it is worth its hefty retail price of $100.

Deboxing my new Kristoff Animators' doll. Photographed under natural lighting. First the doll is removed from the box by breaking the seals on the top lid, and sliding the backing tray out. The doll is still attached to the backing and plastic spacer by wires and rubber bands. He is about 1/2'' taller than the other Animators' dolls, which explains why his head is tilted so he could fit in the box. Next the doll is removed from the backing by snipping the rubber bands around his head, and loosening the wires around his neck and ankles. He is placed face down on a counter to continue the deboxing. The wires around his neck and his ankles are removed, and he is now fully deboxed.
First look at the Animators' Kristoff Doll. I will photograph boxed, during deboxing and fully deboxed. I will also pose him with comparable dolls.

And the pick of the litter, my favourite man meat Kristoff. I adore his dumb nise and his dumb face and his dumb character and I’ve gotten the biggest dumbest disney crush.
His clothes are padded so he looks bigger and cuddlier than other male dolls and I do love the use of fleece and fur to mimic his movie clothes. My favourite thing is his pointy toe boots though since they’re specifically paint washed to look worn and weathered. His gloves surprisingly didn’t stain his hands but since I already stuck his head on another body it really didn’t matter to me.
His body is kind of the shittiest male body I’ve seen since it’s sooooooo bizarrely proportioned, the legs are really rubbery and his arms don’t even swivel, they just bend in one direction.
But yeah I’m insanely happy how perfect his dumb face because it’s what i fell in love with and happy how well his head hybrids with the Dragon brand body.

Anna and Kristoff have been fully deboxed. They are standing next to each other and holding hands. He is free standing, she is supported by a Kaiser stand.
I deboxed the Troll Wedding Anna and Kristoff Doll Set in April 2016 (nine months ago), but I am finally getting around to now uploading detailed photos of them. Anna herself looks lovely, but I still think their costumes make them look cheap and silly. Also the troll wedding sequence was my least favorite part of Frozen. So this is my least favorite Designer Fairytale doll set.
I got them in store on their release day, November 3, 2015. They are #1079 of 6000.

Hans, Anna & Kristoff
_____________________________________________
I've always thought Disney let a really cool chance slide by with Anna. Instead of the gross troll song, they could've put a scene in which Anna realizes she's falling in love with Kristoff and his huge nose, but feels bad because she's already engaged to Hans and his broad shoulders. Of course after the latter's betrayal she would've realized who her true love was all this time, blah, blah, blah...
The Limited Edition Kristoff 18'' Doll has been completely deboxed. He posed standing, supported by the included doll stand. He can free stand, but he is much more stable on the stand. I left one hand in the pants pocket. I also left the tissue paper stuffing in the faux leather satchel, and left out the mandolin from these photos. He has cotton stuffing under the front of his shirt, to make him more bulky.
Kristoff in his summer outfit, as seen at the end of the Frozen animated feature film. Included is his mandolin, leather satchel and ice man medallion. He also has faux leather boots with fur trim, a welcome change from the usual molded plastic boots on male Disney Store dolls. He is #1627 of 3500, $119.95.
I got a bunch of newly released Frozen merchandise from the Disney Store today (March 2, 2015). They are the LE 17'' Anna, Elsa and Kristoff dolls, and the Frozen Tsum Tsum. I also picked up the pre-ordered NeverBeast movie. I will show the dolls boxed, during deboxing, and fully deboxed.

[While on Anna and Kristoff's journey to find Elsa]
Anna: So... should we go that way?
Kristoff: [Thinking to himself] Wow, she is really pretty... should I... no, she's a princess. You're just an ice harvester. What can you offer her? But what if... nah. Not possible. Maybe she'll see me for who I really am and... what nonsense are you thinking? She's already engaged. To a prince. How can that compare to you? But then again...
Anna: Kristoff?
Kristoff: [Shakes his head] Um... nothing...

The sale continues until Sunday, so I may go back to the store with another coupon to get more goodies. I got the three new plush Toddler dolls of Snow White, Tinker Bell and Jasmine. I got the new Aladdin Animators' Collection doll, the Jasmine Deluxe Singing Doll Set, and the Rapunzel Animators' Collection Mini Doll Playset. I have not deboxed any of the last three dolls.
P.S.: My Disney Store had a restocked Inside Out section. Most of the previously sold out Inside Out toys are now back in stock, except for the Tsum Tsum.

BOX DATE: 2013
MANUFACTURER: Mattel
DOLLS IN PACK: Anna, Kristoff
BODY TYPE: 2013; straight arms; straight legs; molded pants
HEAD MOLD: 2013; Disney
PERSONAL FUN FACT written by my sister: Kristoff is definitely my favorite character in Frozen. He says the funniest things. A lot of people like Olaf best, but I've preferred Kristoff since the first five minutes he was on screen. It's interesting that our second Kristoff doll came in a 2 pack with Anna, just like our first. As our other Kristoff is more deluxe, being dressed for the troll wedding, it is cool to have found one that is more basic. We found Kristoff and Anna together at the Salvation Army in July of 2019. We were on our way home from my job and I wanted to try to call my Aunt to see if she was home. We needed to kill time while my phone charged, so we stopped at the Salvation Army. I was delighted to discover Monster High and Disney! They seem to be things we find there far more often now. We were also delighted to have both Anna and Kristoff. Shelly was going to get Anna anyway, as her dress is fabric and not molded, unlike a lot of other dolls we see nowadays. Yet getting her and Kristoff together was excellent! I like keeping dolly couples together. It seems romantic. I'm a little disappointed that his pants are molded to his body. It gives him an awkward shape. However, unlike my other Kristoff, he doesn't have a hole in his head to insert the peg that holds on his headdress. Kristoff has a very nice, honest face with an especially large nose. I think it is really cute! He and Anna are wonderful additions to the little Frozen section in Shelly's room!

About "Frozen"
Walt Disney Animation Studios, presents "Frozen," a stunning big-screen comedy adventure. Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey—teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven—to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf (voice of Josh Gad), Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom. The film is directed by Chris Buck ("Tarzan," "Surf's Up") and Jennifer Lee (screenwriter, "Wreck-It Ralph"), who also wrote the screenplay. It is produced by Peter Del Vecho ("Winnie the Pooh," "The Princess and the Frog"). Featuring original songs from Kristen Anderson-Lopez ("In Transit," "Winnie the Pooh") and Tony® winner Robert Lopez ("The Book of Mormon," "Avenue Q"), and an original score by Christophe Beck ("The Muppets," Oscar®-winning short "Paperman").
The film will be preceded by the all-new short, "Get A Horse!"—with the voice of Walt Disney as Mickey Mouse.

First look at the Animators' Kristoff Doll. I will photograph boxed, during deboxing and fully deboxed. I will also pose him with comparable dolls.
Box Notes:
Celebrate the heritage of Disney Animation with the Disney Animators' Collection. Created under the guidance of Disney's most renowned animators, these young renditions of your favorite characters are brought to life with creativity and imagination.
Supervising animator for Disney's Frozen, Tony Smeed is an accomplished animator with credits including Tangled, Wreck-It Ralph, and Chicken Little. Smeed grew up with a passion for drawing and stop-motion, but his excitement grew when he discovered computer animation, which allowed him to bring characters to life in a whole new way.
Character design supervisor for Disney's Frozen, Bill Schwab is an award-winning character designer credited on many Disney hits including Tangled and Wreck-It Ralph. Schwab began drawing at an early age and was further inspired by a Disney animation book he received on his 15th birthday.
Integral in bringing the Frozen characters to life on the big screen, Jin Kim is an accomplished character designer with credits including Tangled, Wreck-It Ralph, and the Princess and the Frog. Beginning his illustration career in Korea, Kim joined Walt Disney Animation Studios in 1995.
