The Limited Edition Kristoff 18'' Doll has been completely deboxed. He posed standing, supported by the included doll stand. He can free stand, but he is much more stable on the stand. I left one hand in the pants pocket. I also left the tissue paper stuffing in the faux leather satchel, and left out the mandolin from these photos. He has cotton stuffing under the front of his shirt, to make him more bulky.

My Kristoff doll has been fully deboxed, and is posed free standing.

He has the usual Disney Store Prince body, with a pivot jointed neck, ball jointed shoulders, hinge jointed elbows, ball jointed hips, and internal hinge jointed knees. He has large hands and feet. He stands 12 1/4'' tall in his boots, from the floor to the top of his molded hair. He is fairly stable free standing.

He has a long face, with molded short dirty blonde hair. He has large light brown eyes, glancing to his right, dark brown eyebrows, large blunt nose, wide non-smiling closed mouth with very thin pink lips. He has a very long chin, and brown freckles on his cheeks and nose. He has a light complexion.

His outfit consists of jacket and shirt combo, pants, gloves, hat and boots. The jacket is made of dark gray faux suede with fur trim, and dark red satin sash. It is padded in the front to make him look more husky. His blue long sleeved fleece shirt is sewn to his jacket. He has blue fleece pants. His dark gray rubber boots are mid-calf high and have curved pointed toes. His gloves are gray leather with fur trim, and are tied to his hands with strings. Finally he has a fleece cap with a flat top.

Kristoff is a very accurate representation of the movie character, with well fitted clothes. As with all Disney male dolls, his body could be more fully articulated.

Kristoff falls off the sled and is nearly killed by the wolves. Anna uses some skillful moves to scare off the wolves long enough for him to get back into the sled. Anna calls him Christopher by mistake. He did not appreciate that much.

Disney Store version is far superior.

I got my spare Limited Edition Frozen Dolls today in mail, on Monday March 16, 2015. I will leave them boxed, except for briefly opening them to take photos and to inspect the dolls and their Certificates of Authenticity. The ones that I got at my local Disney Store on release day, Tuesday March 3, I have already fully deboxed. My spare LE Kristoff has a Cart # of 00040, which means he is #40 of 3500! It is the lowest edition number of any of my LE 17'' dolls, except for the LE 100 Harrods dolls (which are numbered #39 for the Frozen and #32 for the Sleeping Beauty sets).

I've now taken my spare LE Frozen dolls out of the shipping cartons. I show them with their boxes closed, then opened up, and finally side by side with the corresponding deboxed dolls. The spare Anna has almost perfect hair, as opposed to my frizzy haired deboxed Anna. My spare Elsa has a slight crease in the front lid, right in the center of the top edge. She has hair that is not as even or natural looking as my deboxed Elsa. I think the boxed Elsa shows her outfit to better advantage, as the skirt is tacked to be wider than its natural circular, narrower form when it is freed from the packaging. Finally my spare Kristoff has uneven hair on the left side (his right), whereas my Kristoff has much better looking hair. Also, he looks much better outside of the cramped quarters of the box, where the top of his head is almost touching the top of the box, and when the front lid is on, the top of head is cut off from view.

My 2015 LE Frozen doll edition numbers (deboxed and boxed)

Anna (962 and 3656 of 5000)

Elsa (2942 and 932 of 5000)

Kristoff (1627 and 40 of 3500)

I was really looking forward to seeing Kristoff in his signature outfit, but he still looks very dashing this way. ^_^

Deboxing LE Kristoff. First the front lid is removed, revealing the clear plastic lid underneath. It has a label and minimal decoration on the border similar to that of the outer lid, all printed in white. Then the plastic lid and rear cardboard cover are removed. The remaining cardboard backing is free standing, and has a scene of the frozen Arendelle forming the background behind the doll.

Kristoff in his summer outfit, as seen at the end of the Frozen animated feature film. Included is his mandolin, leather satchel and ice man medallion. He also has faux leather boots with fur trim, a welcome change from the usual molded plastic boots on male Disney Store dolls. He is #1627 of 3500, $119.95.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: It was always a dream of mine to get my hands on a Disney Store gift set. I got one of the large 11 packs of princesses back in 2013. However, my appetite wasn't entirely curbed. I longed to get one of the sets that featured less dolls but loads of clothes! In 2014, Colleen and I made our last trek to the Disney Store location nearest us (all the others closed, and I'm not even sure if that one is still open). While we were there getting my Deluxe Singing Tiana, I ogled the Frozen sets that were on display. Since I hadn't watched the movie yet, and due to the price of the pack, I opted not to get it. Although I was VERY tempted. When Aladdin was re-released on DVD, there was a similar gift set made for it. I once again toyed with the idea of getting that set. But as I already had several similar dolls (like the Genie and Jasmine), I saw no point in purchasing it. It wasn't until 2021 that I finally splurged on my dream gift set. This Frozen Deluxe Fashion Gift Set was actually my very first purchase from the Disney Store website. Previously, I had only managed to buy Disney Store dolls secondhand or in the actual stores (before they closed). It happened to occur to me on New Year's Day to look at the website. Lo and behold I caught a sale. This pack was 40% off....for three magnificent dolls and oodles of spare clothes, I couldn't say no! I love how this set features outfits from the first Frozen movie and the sequel. Admittedly though, I was most eager to get my hands on a Disney Store Kristoff and Anna...all my other dolls were made by Mattel or Hasbro!

Peter Pan tsums stacked up behind the registers. View from outside the store.

Got to my local Disney Store at 6:00 am and got inside right away. I was first in line. I fellow collector joined me a couple of minutes later. There were six waiting in line at 7 am, 25 at 8 am, 40 at 9 am, probably 50 at 10 am.

The store had 16 each of Limited Edition Frozen Fever Anna and Elsa 17'' dolls, and 18 of the DFDC Anna and Kristoff 12'' doll set. They told us the totals of the limited edition dolls when they gave out the line cards at about 9:40 am. There were two Anna/Kristoff sets left over at store opening at 10 am. It was also release day for the 10 Peter Pan mini tsum tsums, and the FF mini tsum tsum set (in an Olaf carrying case). It turned out that about 2 thirds of the people just wanted the tsum tsums. After the opening ceremony, we were divided into two lines. One was just for tsums. and the other was for the LE or Designer dolls (we could also get tsums). They had the Peter Pan tsums behind the counter, but the FF tsums were on the wall display to the right of the registers. I got the three dolls, all the Peter Pan tsums, and the FF tsum set.

I got a bunch of newly released Frozen merchandise from the Disney Store today (March 2, 2015). They are the LE 17'' Anna, Elsa and Kristoff dolls, and the Frozen Tsum Tsum. I also picked up the pre-ordered NeverBeast movie. I will show the dolls boxed, during deboxing, and fully deboxed.

My new Kristoff Animators' doll has been fully deboxed. He is posed free standing. Photographed under natural lighting. Following is my personal review of the doll.

Review of Kristoff Animators' Doll

Kristoff is the first male character in the Disney Animators' Collection. The It's a small world England doll is also a boy, but he doesn't count in my book because he has the same face mold and hairdo as the other small world dolls, so looks like a girl to me, and also because he was never a character in a Disney movie. Kristoff has molded hair, versus the rooted hair of all of the other Animators' dolls. I don't mind that so much, as it permits the hair to be styled and yet avoid excessive hair product to maintain the look. His appearance and outfit are very accurate representations of the character as a toddler as shown in the early scenes of the movie Frozen. He joins the other main characters of the cast, Anna and Elsa, as toddler dolls, although the girls are not yet part of the Animators' Collection.

He stands 16 1/4'' H, about 1/2'' taller than the regular Animators' dolls, for instance Elsa, who is 15 3/4'' H. He as the same body as Elsa, but his head is much larger, which accounts for the height difference. Anna has arms and legs that are 1/2'' shorter, which accounts for her to be 1/2'' shorter than Elsa, so 1'' shorter than Kristoff. Since he has the Animators' doll body, he has ball jointed neck and shoulders, and swivel hips. His head rotates 360 degrees, and can tilt 30 degrees up and 10 degrees down. His arms rotate 360 degress around, and can swing out about 30 degrees. His hips are angled about 45 degrees from the vertical, so it forces his legs to be splayed out towards the sides when he sits down, and are actually 120 degrees apart when he sits down all the way. My Kristoff has a rather wobbly head, which I haven't experienced with any of my other Animators' dolls. It may be due to the size and weight of his head versus the other dolls.

His head is very large and round, topped by a mass of golden blonde molded hair. Most of his forehead is covered by his front bangs. He has large round dark brown close set eyes that are looking to right. He has no eyelashes, and long thick dark brown eyebrows. He has a big broad nose, and a small mouth with very thin salmon colored lips that are just slightly curved upwards, so it isn't quite a smile, but isn't a frown either. He has pink blush over most of cheeks (representing his exposure to cold weather). He has pale brown freckles over his cheeks and nose, and even a couple on his left ear. He has puffy cheeks, a weak chin and big round ears. His skin is a moderate tan tone in his face, with a much paler body, and less pinkish than other Animators' dolls (such as Ariel).

His outfit consists of a combo tunic and shirt, pants, gloves and boots. The tunic is dark gray faux suede with fur trim, a red satin belt and a long Velcro closure in the back. He has a half shirt of dark blue green faux fleece, consisting of long sleeves and false front, that is sewn to the inside of his tunic. His dark blue green faux fleece pants have an elastic waistband, and extend to about an inch short of his feet. He has dark gray faux leather mittens with an additional dark blue green fleece piece over the fingers, fur trim and faux dark brown suede straps. His boots are dark gray plastic with leather look, has artificial wear and curved pointy toes, and a slit in the back for ease of putting on and taking off the boots. This outfit is very close in look to the one worn by the Classic Kristoff doll.

First look at the Animators' Kristoff Doll. I will photograph boxed, during deboxing and fully deboxed. I will also pose him with comparable dolls.
