Old but still functioning building in the town of Kronstadt on the island of Kotlin. This island is situated several kilometers north of Petrodvoretz in the Gulf of Finland. It used to be a military fort. The building above is located in the "Communistic street"!
A small local shop called "Starij Mayak" ("The old light house") near the Pushkin monument and park on the island of Kotlin (several kilometres away from St. Petersburg and Peterhof), where the town of Kronstadt is situated. The island used to be a military fort which played a significant role in the Crimean War.

The Type 051 destroyer (NATO code name Luda class) Guided missile destroyer was the first surface warfare oriented vessel ever designed and built in China, and the first Chinese ship to be fitted with an integrated combat direction system. It was usually considered to be based on the Soviet Kotlin class destroyer design though some other source saying Neustrashimy class destroyer, with some features from the Kotlin class.

Kronstadt is located on Kotlin Island near Saint Petersburg. It is a Russian seaport town and the base of the Russian Baltic Fleet. This picture was taken from a cruise ship and shows the construction of the Saint Petersburg Dam.

The Sea Cathedral built in 1913 is truly known to be the symbol of Kronshtadt. The architect Kosyakov, the author of the project, was inspired by the Sophia Cathedral in Konstantinopol. The Cathedral with the height of 70,6 meters and the diameter of the dome of 27 meters can be easily seen from the coasts of the Gulf. Inside there is a marble memorial to the died sailors.
