Down in Skunk Creek beside the large storm drain run off reed bed, Peoria Arizona. Here was where the action was, although, because overcast, the light was not what one would wish for, reducing clarity and increasing noise. Nicely muggy with the temp (between 6.30 and 8.00 a.m.) at 90+ F. The Duo yet to be ID'd.

Modified Vivitar IC-101 and old Konica film. Doubles project with Anna. She took the camera to California and shot the whole roll of film. I rewound it and took pictures in the UK. Some colour tweaking in Picasa ("I'm feeling lucky").
The Recovery Model as it applies to mental health is an approach to mental disorder or substance dependence (and/or from being labeled in those terms) that emphasizes and supports each individual's potential for recovery. Recovery is seen within the model as a personal journey, that may involve developing hope, a secure base and sense of self, supportive relationships, empowerment, social inclusion, coping skills, and meaning. Originating from the 12-Step Program of Alcoholics Anonymous and the Civil Rights Movement, the use of the concept in mental health emerged as deinstitutionalization resulted in more individuals living in the community. It gained impetus due to a perceived failure by services or wider society to adequately support social inclusion, and by studies demonstrating that many can recover.
I think Alli looks like she knows something that we all don't in this photo and it makes her look even lovelier. I've never been so happy with senior portraits as I am with Alli's and it gives me hope that someday, when I actually have experience and training.... I could do this. Like, for real.
It might just be her pretty face though.

Part of a set / album of images relating to an Apple Maps Look Around Street View pedestrian photographer with image harvesting backpack tech. I photographed him a few years ago. The Apple Look Around (Google Street View equivalent) images were exclusive to their iPhone Map App, but are now available on the web, indirectly via duckduckgo.com/ maps for example. And so now I can see myself! My camera phone was a distinctive yellow Poco phone back at 12:09 p.m. on 12th May 2022. My blue tobacco tin is just visible. The park is at a mere 10 metres above sea level, first to go when global warming arrives..!
Knowing that there would be many sweet pies, and remembering Andrew Bird's gleeful "both savory and sweet" description of the snacks there would be at the end of the world, I decided to make a savory pie for Pi(e) Day.
From the recipe, continued:
When you're ready to bake, remove the pie from the refrigerator. Tent the top of the pie loosely with aluminum foil, making sure not to let the foil come into contact with the cheese.
Bake on a pizza stone or cast iron surface in a 425F oven for 12 minutes; then without opening the oven, reduce the heat to 375F and bake for 35 more minutes. Remove the foil and bake for 10-20 more minutes until the edges are brown and the cheese is golden and crunchy.

Jem and Adrian's wedding was a magnificent occasion. A traditional African ceremony in the heart of Luton, filled with love and joy. A great family atmosphere throughout and some amazing styling too!
