This picture is significant to me because I took this picture when i went to Newport Oregon with my family, We were driving home from the beach, and i instantly screamed STOP THE CAR because i had to capture this picture it was the perfect day, empty road clouds in the air, and the sort of Eyre feel that really makes a picture special. I named it "You never know where the road goes" because we drove out this road for a good hour just exploring, and not knowing where we were going. We ended up at the port and watched the sea lions. This photo follows the line challenge, and shows good diagonal lines that shows tension and make us feel uneasy, and that's almost how you feel when you get lost. These lines are leading us to our future and we don't know what that future is. The pedestrian crossing sign shows that people are going to cross over out life's path.
Driving around trying to familiarize ourselves with the area for the concert that night, Butch started getting a little grumpy! Thankfully, there were porta potties in the parking lots at Red Rocks.....

Knowing that there are Bald Eagles here at the lake and they generally like to perch in this pine tree makes me think it's an immature Bald Eagle.
My son-in-law thought he's been seeing Golden Eagles flying around, but I'm not so sure this is it?
These are in sequencial order, but unfortunately I was on the wrong side of the tree for best lighting...:) Ain't that the way it goes so often!

Knowing you are that much closer to the end, I guess if it's me, I too will live life more excitingly. Perhaps sleep less even. Afterall, death is a permanent sleep. But sadly youths like myself are guilty of wasting our time on the non-essential and even on sleep (too much that is). We really got to start living.

The leaves go quick on these windswept clifftops, already the chill of winter blowing through. Kicked off in updrafts that send sea breezes howling past, freezing in its path, my fingers feel it first. The last lighthouse at Horton Bluff shone from 1961 to 2013, before being shuttered after the gypsum plant shut down. No big ships to light the way for any longer; memories and remnants, left to a lovely shell. I come here when I could use a reminder of direction. Finding my way is just as easy as losing it a little. Do you know what I'm saying? Pick a road and ride until it all runs out, what's the worst that could happen, really? Too often, we're unwilling to do the chore of wasting time. Every day becomes a series of errands – do this or that until light runs out. I've discovered that all my best times are had when not knowing what's next. This building never knew, and when I'm done, I hope I don't as well.

Knowing full well that lake Glenmaggie is only at around 30% capacity at the moment I knew I wouldn't get the compositions with water around the trees etc that I normally chase at this location. It did however enable me to drive to trees normally up to 4-5ft under water at their base when the lake is full
This elephant had the boring duty of carrying people all of thirty feet in a circle only to go back to have different peopel loaded on it's back and repeat. So around and around it goes. How boring. It's said that an elephant remembers every face they have ever seen. If that's true then this particular elephant must have an amazing memory. Knowing that the lakes in The Trossachs region are adorned with vegetation, i'd been hoping for still conditions to shoot autumn coloured reflections. As the low level mist and cloud lingered through mid morning, I hopped out the car at Loch Achray in search of a composition. On the Loch's southern edge I found a solitary rock proud of the water line, with the fabulous Victorian Tigh Mor Trossachs (big house in The Troassachs) peaking through the rich autumn colours in the background.
