"It breaks my heart 'cause I know you're the one for me

Don't you feel sad there never was a story

Obviously it never be

You will never know

I will never show

What I feel

What I need from you no

You will never know

I will never show

What I feel

What I need from you

With every smile comes my reality irony

You won't find out what has been killing me

Can't you see me, can't you see?

You will never know

I will never show

What I feel

What I need from you no

You will never know

I will never show

What I feel

What I need from you

No no no no you will never know

I will never show

What I feel

What I need from you no

No no no no you'll never know

No no no no you'll never know

No no no no

Love me love me love me love me no

You will never know

I will never show no no no

What I feel

What I need from you no no no

You will never know

I will never show no no no

What I feel

What I feel

What I feel

What I need

What I need from you no."

Bigger is MUCH Better

I know in some countries flowers are blooming already, but here is the same old and beautiful winter.

Waiting forward for spring, but in the meanwhile a photo of today's walking. Night temperature in this weekend will be -22°C, but days are sunny and beautiful.

Do you know what makes the desert beautiful?

It’s the fact that, whenever you return, the dunes have changed in silence.

The wind has only brushed past them, yet that gentle breeze is enough

to shape them into something new—not distorted,

just a continuation of their beauty.

A person should be the same.

Always learning, growing, evolving.

With every breeze of life— even the bitter ones— shaping yourself into something more refined,

instead of collapsing or losing form.

Many of us resist change…

as if staying the same could keep us safe.

But the truth is, stillness makes us rigid… and fragile.

The real beauty is in quiet movement,

in silent transformation,

in becoming a deeper version of yourself

with every wind that touches you.

Excuse me if I am being pretentious, but I came across this word which I didn’t know recently and I like it.

Across the evening sky

All the birds are leaving

But how can they know

It's time for them to go?

Before the winter fire

I will still be dreaming

I have no thought of time

For who knows where the time goes?

Who knows where the time goes?

A very personal song to me

Listen to:

Sandy Denny 1947-1978

A child knows exactly what happiness is, much better than many adults:

Dad, it's better to be happy than rich, we would also have the lighter wallet to run faster! Federico, 5 yo

Un bimbo sa esattamente cos'è la felicità, molto meglio di tanti adulti:

Papà conviene essere felici invece che ricchi, così si ha pure il portafogli più leggero e si può correre più forte! Federico, 5 anni

Everyone knows that most agricultural products require the fields to change every season, meaning you need to let fields sit fallow sometimes, to rest. The same is true at the Wooden Show Tulip Farm. Every year the tulips are in a different field. They have one field that lines up particularly well with Mt. Hood, that's the field they used this year. The last time this field was used was when they shut down the whole event for Covid. It's been about 6 years since the public got to see flowers in this field.

I had the treat this year of having my son greet me there, he worked at the event this year, his first job. He is also know getting into photography, so we were shooting side by side, how neat is that?

Let me know what you think if this one, my wife liked it, which means it had tons of color (she only likes the colorful shots).

If you have lost a loved one, know that because of the Conservation of Energy, their energy has not died. Remember the First Law of Thermodynamics; that no energy gets created in the universe, and none is destroyed. All their energy, every vibration, every BTU of heat, every wave of every particle that was your loved one remains with you in this world. Know that amid energies of the cosmos, they gave as good as they got.

All the photons that have ever bounced off their face, all the particles whose paths were interrupted by their happiness, by the touch of their hair, hundreds of trillions of particles, have raced off like children, their ways forever changed by the one you love. And as you grieve, know that the photons that bounced from them were gathered in the particle detectors that are your eyes, that those photons created within their constellations of electromagnetically charged neurons whose energy will go on forever.

According to the Law of the Conservation of Energy, not a bit of them is gone; they're just less orderly.

Mood

It's funny how such creatures, simplistic in so many ways, can inhabit personalities more complex and deep by comparison to the shallow, murky waters of the WalMart kiddie pools that some human beings are made of. He was my shadow, my sentinel, my buddy, my pal. Little did I know that this Valentine's Day gift from an ex would lead to a lasting companionship who's absence is felt, even to this day.

Some people would scoff and say "Oh, it's just a cat." As heartless as those people are, he was so much more than the sum of himself. He probably would've followed me through the Gates of Hell and back, if I'd let him... and give them a piece of his mind in the process, since he was a chatterbox.

Where people would often fail, he would succeed.

Rest in peace, buddy.

I'm obsessed with their beauty and I love how they flutter around my garden daily... soon this will be over...

Did you know that Parakeets, Owls, Myna's etc.. all share the same kind of home? They nest / roost in holes / hollow of tree trunks that are often created by other birds like Woodpeckers. On this day, we found several coconut trees with such holes in them. And a large flock of Rose Ringed Parakeets was active with some of them in these holes - while others were on the branches nearby.

The spotted owlet had occupied one of those hollows in the tree and the Parakeets clearly didn't like that. So they were continuously making calls and one of them even landed on the hollow to scare the owlet away. The owlet came out and landed on this perch very close - this was around 3 PM. It was sleepy, yawning and had droopy eyes. We felt sorry for it, but didn't disturb the fight and watched from a distance.

Thanks in advance for your views and feedback. Much appreciated.

I can't count the times

I almost said what's on my mind

But I didn't

And just the other day

I wrote down all the things I'd say

But I couldn't

I just couldn't

Baby, I know that you've been wonderin'

Mm, so here goes nothin'

In case you didn't know

Baby, I'm crazy 'bout you

And I would be lyin' if I said

That I could live this life without you

Even though

I don't tell you all the time

You had my heart a long, long time ago

In case you didn't know

The way you look tonight

That second glass of wine

That did it

Mm

There was somethin' 'bout that kiss

Girl, it did me in

Got me thinkin'

I'm thinkin'

One of the things that I've been feelin'

it's time you hear 'em

In case you didn't know

Baby, I'm crazy 'bout you

And I would be lyin' if I said

That I could live this life without you

Even though

I don't tell you all the time

You had my heart a long, long time ago

In case you didn't know

You got all of me

I belong to you

Yeah, you're my everything

What do you say, do you do

When it all comes down?

Summer to fall, I didn’t call

Even now, I can’t think of the words, to say.

What would I tell you

That I had missed you

That id like to kiss you

When you haven’t even crossed my mind

I don’t wanna lie

I just nod and smile

Don’t wanna meet your eyes.

Well, I know I’ve never been to Spain, can’t say for sure about this little guy, though, what with all the worm holes and Ley Lines in my yard. Actually, he looks a lot like Michelle’s, so the wormhole thing would not surprise me. This could have easily turned into a silhouette shot but with the help of Lightroom I was able to make a beauty shot out of it. So, we started spring with a Robin and we are concluding summer with a Robin. As per usual, there are ten thousand different ways to present this, but I decided to keep cropping to a minimum because I fell in love with the leaves. But as the song says Oklahoma, Arizona, what does it matter …

Never been To Spain – Three Dog Night

The river knows where to flow, finding a path as it goes. It travels around small islands, over a steep drop, and then carves through a steep gorge on its path downstream. A large mist cloud forms and a rainbow appears.

The water levels were lower and calmer closer to the shoreline and a group of ducks were dabbling. The gulls were busy flying and feeding in the river. It may be cold but there is life on the river. The temperature was -9 Celsius with a windchill around -15 Celsius. A beautiful and sunny winter day was in store. The walking path in this section beside the river was mostly icy. This pathfinder wore a good pair of boots and tread carefully and slowly.

I always know when autumn is upon us. The days grow shorter, a chill electrifies the air, and the camellia sasanquas in my hedge in my rear garden start to flower. Well, there may me no chill in the air - quite the contrary actually - however my camellias are budding and the first perfect bloom has appeared.

My "Plantation Pink" camellia sasanqua is always the first of my camellias to blossom in Autumn out of the specimens in my camellia hedge at the rear of my garden, and it seems to have thrown almost overnight. Where yesterday there were tight buds, today there are crepe like blooms.

Vigorous and fast growing, Camellia Sasanqua “Plantation Pink” is an upright evergreen shrub with masses of large sweetly scented single to semi-double, soft pink flowers and a wonderful centre of golden yellow stamens. The blooms occur over quite a long period between March and June in the Southern Hemisphere which makes them very popular. They are often used for hedges or to cover walls.

Important to know: Iguanas are capable of severely injuring people, other animals and themselves when their body language messages are not recognized. Most iguanas clearly sign that trouble is ahead. They nod their head and wave their dewlap side to side.

The dewlap is a fold of loose skin hanging from the neck or throat of an animal, like a cow. Iguanas use their dewlap to communicate. First, an extended dewlap can simply be a greeting. An extended dewlap is often used to say hello to another creature during mating and most generally as a territorial sign. Second, it can be a form of protection. A threatened iguana may extend its dewlap to intimidate a predator into thinking it is much larger than it is. Third, an extended dewlap may be a sign that the iguana is trying to adjust its temperature. An extended dewlap on an iguana basking in the sun is quite normal. It may be catching sun to warm up or catching a breeze to cool off. So it's important to consider "the big picture" when reading an Iguana's body language.

I know this is a "postcard" Rome photo but this is hommage to the city after all what happened yesterday before the soccer game!

You know the drill - warm coat, woolly hat, gloves, wellies, snow shovel and you're working hard to clear the snow from your driveway. That was me this afternoon. I had planned to treat my garden birds to a few live mealworms after my hard work but 'my' Robin wasn't prepared to wait. He flew into my garage and helped himself ... he knows where I keep them!

So, I thought it was fitting to post a Robin in the snow. This was taken in my garden a few years ago. The white feathers made him very distinctive but, sadly, last winter was last time I saw him.

As always, thank you so much for stopping by and for leaving any comments or faves, they are very much appreciated.

I know you all have pretty much concluded that I am sick and twisted... but, hey! It's October... and that's the way it should be! Right?!! (at least for a couple more hours!) Happy Halloween! This whole year has been pretty scary anyway!

I know that it has reached an end of my journey and it's about time to say goodbye.

"Rain will fall again

on your smooth pavement,

a light rain like

a breath or a step.

The breeze and the dawn

will flourish again

when you return,

as if beneath your step.

Between flowers and sills

the cats will know.

There will be other days,

there will be other voices.

You will smile alone.

The cats will know.

You will hear words

old and spent and useless

like costumes left over

from yesterday’s parties.

You too will make gestures.

You’ll answer with words—

face of springtime,

you too will make gestures.

The cats will know,

face of springtime;

and the light rain

and the hyacinth dawn

that wrench the heart of him

who hopes no more for you—

they are the sad smile

you smile by yourself.

There will be other days,

other voices and renewals.

Face of springtime,

we will suffer at daybreak."

I'd like to let you know that I'll be interrupting my virtual journey through time and around the world for a few weeks, as I'm embarking on a real trip tomorrow.

I'm leaving tomorrow morning for Thailand, where I'll be staying until the second week of October.

Until then, I'll be sharing photos from home. Like this one of a beautiful sunrise in the Königsbrueck Heather in Saxony, not far from Dresden. The photo is two years old, but was taken around the same time of year. So, things should look similar here at the moment.

As for the next three and a half weeks, I don't yet know how much I'll post here, because this trip isn't a normal vacation for me.

Instead, this stay will also serve as a time to prepare my emigration plans for next year.

it has it's own time, people use to know it, and how to follow it

'I've come to believe that it’s worth getting to know your fearful mind... it’s never going to leave you. You can’t evict it. It’s more or less hardwired into your psyche and will accompany you onto every stage you set foot on, into every job interview you go to, and every new relationship you enter into. It’s there, and it’s not going to shut up.'

You know, we may download them to our computers, we may just leave them on our phones. And the physical print, the end of the process, is the thing for me. I like to hold and look at a beautiful object, and it feels like it completes that circle. Otherwise, the work just feels unfinished to me. If it just exists in the ether, or if it just exists as a cheap work print, it’s not quite there yet. I need to finish the project I began.

I don't wanna be another him that shit is over

Finally you found yourself a friend and you run him over

Ever since the start I saw the end around the corner

'Cause I know you so well

So predictable

You're an animal

I can't let you go

You're so good at being bad you know

So predictable

You're an animal

I can't let you go

You're so good at being bad (uh)

My baby's bad you know

My baby's bad you know

My baby my my my baby's bad you know

My my baby's bad you know

My my baby's bad you know

My baby my my my baby's bad you know

You know I'm not gonna leave your side and I can't deny it

Tried to play it cool but I can't hide my true desire

'Cause I can see the dirty in your eyes my favorite liar

And I know you so well well well well

So predictable

You're an animal

I can't let you go

You're so good at being bad you know

So predictable

You're an animal

Those who know me personally will know I have a little van and like to travel around the UK for my photography. I recently spent some time in Brecon and West Wales for just under two weeks. And I really loved spending time focusing on photography again. Just getting through some of the pictures now and so I have lots of wildlife and landscapes stories to come. :)

This Image is from the first night where I walked up Pen Y Fan. I set off at 1am and only reached the peak at 6am as I was too distracted taking pictures of the stars on the way up! But I was just in time for a beautiful sunrise. :) It was seriously an amazing walk in the night and would highly recommend to anyone.

Having some problems with photoshop at the moment and it seems to not work or crash when I'm using it anyone else having problems?
