This is a stopperless salt shaker that dispenses salt from the bottom. Lisa threw the salt shaker, sketched out a plan, then Alex carved the wave design on it. It is going into a bisque firing soon and the plan is to use an oatmeal glaze at the top and our teal blue on the waves.
I'm fascinated by people's homes - the personal touches, family photos, and how they can (usually) reflect a particular era or trend in interior design. My Mum's former council house is a chaotic, eclectic time-warp, which makes it harder to pinpoint in time. It's bonkers. I've focussed on details rather than whole rooms with these photos, as there are many!

Detail in Belton House. Belton is an Anglo-Dutch Restoration house built between 1685-88 in the last years of Charles II's reign.
They had an open house this weekend, I love their work and own many pieces - Bill and Martha do fine work.
