Taken in a neat kitchenware shop in New Hope, Pennsylvania- one of my favorite cities to visit when I'm in the Philadelphia area.

Referred to as 'Depression Glass' this company, Jeanette Glass Co., was actually manufacturing in the 1940's. This is one piece of a collection my mother started for me many lifetimes ago.

HPD students need to go through on complete cycle of the Design Process.

Today they were divided up into three groups. Each group considered Lighting, Seating or Kitchenware respectively. These photos depict what they came up with after a strict time allocation of 20 minutes.

Each member of the class must now generate a Brief over the weekend. This is to be available for discussion on Monday. This will in turn establish just what angle they will come at in order to develop their own unique solution.

Namdaemun Market, located in the very center of Seoul, is the biggest traditional market in Korea selling children's clothing, men & women's clothing, daily miscellaneous goods, kitchenware and local and imported products. Most shops have their own factories and make the products themselves offering both wholesale and retail prices which enable visitors to purchase various shopping items at extremely inexpensive prices. Foreign visitors to Namdaemun Market show different tastes: the Japanese are more into foods like gim (seaweed), gimchi, and ginseng, while the Chinese show interest in clothing and miscellaneous goods. On the other hand, most tourists from the West simply enjoy the ambience of the traditional market. Hours vary by store, so it's advisable to plan in advance according toa shopping list before you start actual shopping.

An attractive and vintage onion pot made by Price & Kensington Potteries Ltd (P&K), also glazed in "Beautiful Browns". P&K also made a range of novelty kitchenware in the shape of various vegetables.

Price & Kensington Potteries Ltd (P&K) were formed in 1962 from the amalgamation of Price Bros. (Burslem) Ltd and Kensington Pottery Ltd. In 2003, P&K went into administration due to financial difficulties and were bought over by Rayware, a houseware importer. Rayware immediately exported production of P&K products to Asia. Production of P&K kitchenware was continued by Rayware in Asia but the quality was never as good as the original P&K products.

I couldn't believe my luck when I found these. I've been wanting some mixing bowls for some time. The pattern on the left is my favourite.

Not quite sure what these were used for in the olden days but it is quite common to come across these old sets of Sand, Soap and Soda.

Your bedroom and its furnishings reflect your personality and your taste. It can be a lovely oasis retreat where you can unwind from the stresses of the day and drift into sleep. Modern bedroom furniture not only is a manifestation of your style but they are functional pieces so important for a quality life.

I'm working on a set of 7 mini tea towels that cover each day of the week. These are part of my 'This Old Rag' line.

Now this is totally different from anything else I have posted! She is one of large set (of about 20) of condiment jars that were distributed by both Lefton and ESD in the 1950s. They were produced after the huge success of Holt Howard Pixieware, and were knock-offs of that line. However, in my opinion, this set is cuter (if I may be so bold :)

If her head is lifted, she has a spoon attached to scoop out the instant coffee. There is also a matching jar for instant coffee that is just her head and is about 5" long.

I have quite a number of these jars and will post more of them in the future! Many thanks to my friend Michael for taking such a nice picture of her :)

I had two containers, so I put together two of these loaded with copper scoops, spoons, dippers, enamelware scoops and dippers and threw in a few blue flowers. I usually use one on each side of the sideboard.
