Kintsugi Kuala Lumpur

This sequence of photographies is my way of expressing to the world that, in the same way that life hits us and makes us feel fragile, we fix ourselves. Becoming more and more valuable and stronger every day. I know sometimes it's hard to think about it, but I'm sure it's possible to get ahead.

Artist: Joy Gray [contact: joyegray@hotmail.co.uk]

Medium: Wood, Wire, Nylon, Paper, Ink, Gold thread, Gold leaf.

"Storytelling: Each egg is covered in stories, the artist reimagining herself as a child, to go back and rewrite memories. Inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repair she stiches new memories together with gold thread and make precious with gold gilding."
