Female leopard with Impala kill in tree. The light was beginning to fade before this cat showed itself; she had descended from the higher branches to the lower branches in an effort to continue with her meal. After taking small bites of the kill, the leopard briefly looked at us, took a hold of the impala and effortlessly whisked it away back to the higher branches. Masai Mara, Kenya.

Every day I wake up
Every day I wake up alone
Every day I wake up
Every day I wake up alone
Let me open up the discussion with
I'm not impressed
With any mother fucking word I say
See I lied that I cried
When he came inside
And now I'm burning a highway Hades
Shut the fuck up
When I'm trying to think
I gotta keep my concentration
Give me one more drink
And then I'll try to remember all the advice
That my good book told me
....
You kill time or time will kill you?

Unfortunately, several of my memory cards containing my South Africa safari photos were stolen.
Fortunately, I still have photos of an amazing sight: a young leopard up in a tree enjoying his first kill, a springbok, while lightning flashed around.

Walking back from taking my car to the garage this morning I spotted what I thought was a dead bird on the edge of the road.

Kill Bill - Pippa & Samurai Sword
Pippa and I wanted to do a "Kill Bill" shoot.
I think she nailed it to perfection - clothes, look, intensity, pose - wonderful.
Pippa not only has the look - she is very athletic, fully trained in 2 different martial arts and a black belt too.
We had great fun with this series of shots and the background music to the shoot was of course the soundtrack to "Kill Bill".
KILL ME - Pareciera que solo por el hecho de ser mujer, tenemos un cartel detrás que dice que queremos que nos maten…
It seems that just because of being a woman, we have a sign behind that says that we want to be killed …
The ink doesn't look nearly as shabby when viewed in real life. Also, it was applied on a white torso, and was then painted black, which explains the two different blacks.

We've never seen more insects and flying things in our house in our lives. My parents lived not 5 miles from here and I never saw anything like this in their houses. The exterminator came and said: "Get used to it. You're on the Cape". I didn't like that answer. We relocated two spiders from our ceiling to our back deck last night at 1:30 a.m. I don't want spiders sliding down onto my face in the middle of the night. This thing just showed up in the tub tonight -- they're huge and look like mosquitoes. They're like 2 inches across sometimes. You can HEAR them fly but they've never caused a problem. He's a goner and I suspect this poor fellow just pooped out and figured Matt's shampoo cluster was as dignified a resting place as any.
There are very nice things about Cape living and some really weird things too.
At first I thought tadpole, but upon closer look, it seems more like a lizard, a salamander if you will.
