Keighley Bus Co has upgraded the Keighley-Skipton Dalesway route to double decker, and after a brief interregnum with recycled B7TLs, has introduced ex Burnley & Pendle Witch Way B9TLs in route colours which suit the vehicles far better than the Witch Way monochrome (in my opinion). Here is BF63HCY. The previous Versas have gone to new work, including the new Flyer airport contract in place of the previous Yorkshire Tiger run service.

Spying on the Sainsbury’s delivery.

Downstairs, Mum and Matt were taking in the groceries; upstairs, looking out the window, I was wishing that the driver had parked further up the street, so that I could actually see him working at the back of his van.

Head to head - YX15XMJ was new to TLC Travel, then went across the Pennines to Manchester Community Transport. CT Plus took over the management of MCT but were unable to make a success of it, withdrawing support in April 2020, after which MCT closed. YX15XMJ then recrossed the Pennines to work with CT Plus (Yorkshire), bringing with it MCT shedmate YX65RHF.

New to TLC Travel and worked in Huddersfield when TLC had some local work. Moved on to Manchester Community Transport whose management was ultimately taken over by CT Plus. MCT closed in April 2020 when CT Plus reluctantly withdrew support. Vehicle transferred to CT Plus Yorkshire and back in Huddersfield as CT Plus now has local work here!

Another day, another line-up of 1980s cars outside a hotel. A little bit more variety here, including such exotica as Citroen CX and Fiat Regata. The Escort Mk3 looks like a low-spec model, with rear wiper.

Like the other Burford card it doesn't have as much of the halftone effect as most postcards.

They're still operating as a hotel, but again just for keyworkers only at the present time.

Yorkshire Tiger's VDL DB250/East Lancs Lowlander YJ06WWV makes its way through the gloom of Dean Clough where it passes beneath the modern (if you can still think of 1974 as modern...) dual carriageway, which superseded this piece of road as the A629 main route to and from Keighley. Units of Dean Clough Mills, former home of Crossley's Carpets, which took up over a half mile length of the valley here, are visible left and centre, along with the Dean Clough public house, which had the dual carriageway built directly above it. I don't imagine they need to worry about leaking roofs! YJ06WWV retains Arriva colours and branding.

I was fortunate to catch this DB Celebrity locally again as it is running fifteen minutes early having been switched from the Corby to Margam working to this.

New as FJ08BYM to Yorkshire Coastliner. Sold to Rossendale Transport but returned to Transdev with the purchase of Rossendale Transport by Transdev. Refurbished for the interurban Leeds-Keighley Aireline service.

The former FJ08BYV, new to Yorkshire Coastliner, sold to Rossendale Transport. Transdev subsequently purchased Rossendale Transport, returning FJ08BYV to the fold. It and similar vehicles have been revamped for Keighley-Leeds Aireline work, replacing Versas which have mainly moved on to airport routes. FJ08BYV has been given one of the Transdev select 'VTD' registrations which has been used liberally around the northern fleets on refreshed vehicles over the years. 'VTD' stands for 'Veolia Transdev', by which name the company was briefly known prior to its demerger from Veolia.
