David Bowie Mural by French artist Zabou
Broadway Market, East London.
Five years ago today the magnificent, never forgotten musical genius passed away.
We are very fortunate to always have his joyful, thought provoking & inspiring music to turn to.
I have so many favourite Bowie songs but I thought this one was appropriate, dedicated to all the amazing NHS staff & countless key workers keeping our country going.

Heartfelt thanks to the incredible work the NHS, keyworkers & community project spirit are doing in South East London.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to view, comment, and fave my photo. It’s really appreciated. 😊
I've been taking my whistle on to the East Hill for a couple of the claps for the amazing NHS and keyworkers. The sound of appreciation reverberating through the valley is incredibly emotional and there seems to be all sorts of different noises joining in! Last Thursday, I stayed up there to watch the sun go down and then turned round the other way to see one of the most biggest and most beautiful moons I've ever seen. The gorgeous glow that was lit up like a pathway across the channel was so mesmerising, it felt like it was beckoning me to follow it. I don't have the equipment, nor the capability of capturing a moment like this, but I did think to myself as I stood there in absolute awe, that it's impossible anyway to recreate the magical feeling of a moment like this. Maybe some moments aren't to be shared :-)

During these unprecedented times there are many key workers in many sectors across our countries, in which we all need to be grateful for. Workers currently in Healthcare, Delivery, Food, Emergency services, Law enforcement, Farmers & the list goes on as you know.
My photo shows a local Farmer out working his field after 9pm yesterday evening. The thing is, I also cycled past this same Farmer very early yesterday morning & he was flat out working then too! This gentleman has most likely put in a 12+ hour shift just to prepare his field for crops to be planted. All so they can be delivered to us as soon as possible to keep us from going hungry.
Little did he know that his work yesterday evening alone on his tractor would have been acknowledged by anyone.... but I do hope he gets to see this photo of mine & realises that many people around world have indeed acknowledged his great efforts 👏
Most days we complain about our 9-5 jobs but when I see our Farmers & other key workers working non-stop around the clock to help keep everyone safe & healthy, I can’t help but feel great admiration. Thank you folks “I take my hat off to you all” 👨🌾👷♂👮♀👩🍳👨🔧👨🔬👨🚒👨🏫
Hope you enjoy! Please favourite & add me as a contact to view my newest upcoming works, Thank you

I'd come out mainly for 66794 on 6M51, but the rain completely killed that shot, so I had to settle for my first snap of 113 instead.

Listen to the experts and stay at home!
JJ suggested we put this in our window.
Admittedly we did go out yesterday, but it was just to walk Lina, and Matt drove round to drop off a Mother's Day present - he didn't stay. Today I'm supposed to see two friends and surprisingly they haven't cancelled, so I'm going to have to.
Stay safe and well, my friends, cos you're important to me!

A deserted York station at 08:00. Normally the place would be absolutely packed. Today though I counted six passengers as I passed through to catch my own train. It was good to see that the station cleaner had a visor and other PPE equipment. In the short time I was at the station, it was clear there were lots of extra precautions being taken.

Perfect way to welcome the month of May with this stunning rainbow!
Very poignant with Covid-19 wreaking havoc and how the Rainbow has become symbolic with Key Workers here in the UK.
Experiment, who actually reads this?

The right to strike is under threat.
This protest on 16.01.23 (London UK) was against New legislation proposed by the Tory government who intend to override a workers’ right to withdraw their labour, forcing them to work against their will.
The right to strike is a fundamental democratic right. It underpins our ability to win dignity in the workplace and earn a decent standard of living.

Who says landscape photography has to be reality when in miniature it can come from the imagination. From fairies at the bottom of your garden to 'the borrowers' we are obsessed with the fantasy of little people in a
full-sized world. My 'downsizing' project, using model railway figures, food and everyday objects, is merely an
extension of those thoughts.
This particular image a tribute to those out there who are keeping us going through difficult times.
