I bought this cheap as chips Canon 300v (think it cost me £20 including a 28-105mm non usm lens) a few years back and finally put a roll of film through it :) Apart from 2 shots it's pretty much nailed exposure.

Exa 500 and the less than sharp Meyer Görlitz Domiplan 50mm. Actually this is a lovely camera to use and the Meyer lens is supposedly great for 'soap bubble bokeh', so this sort of thing isn't really its forte. The location is Saint Andrew's church in Sepringham, Lincolnshire. The church is on the site of a medieval abbey with some interesting history. The story seems to be roughly as follows: Edward 1st wasn't averse to having possible rivals bumped off and when a certain fate befell Llywelyn ap Gruffudd, the last Welsh born Prince of Wales, his daughter was abducted at around 18 months old and taken from Wales to Sempringham abbey. She was brought up there by nuns and eventually died in service as a nun, possibly never knowing anything about her royal lineage and possible claims.

Diptych images taken with the Pentax 17.

I had a few fails were I misjudged the distance and the photos were out of focus and I'm still trying to get used to the framing for the in-between focal distances. Overall, I'm very impressed with the camera and the sharpness of the lens. All of the diptyches were unintentional, which made them more delightful.

This house has medieval origins, being located by the old covered market of Granollers, in Catalonia. But it's the art-nouveau façade by Manuel Raspall that gives it a a name. It was reformed in 1904.

Somewhere in June 2020 we went for a hike reasonable close to home.

Because we were not sure about the weather, it did look like it would start to rain, we went for a shorter hike.

We both didn't want to get soaked and wet and the forecast for saturday promised to the best day for a hike that weekend.

Visited a small piece of nature called Frieseveen near Eelde-Paterswolde.

The weather did not disappoint, it was actually a nice day for a hike.

The lake and it shores even provided some unusual things.

this nature reserve, what is nowadays is, was used as a garbage and rubbish dump. They used the eastern shore between 1900 and 1917.

Today you can still see this if you look arround.

let's go back to our summer holiday in 2020. We decided to stay in the Netherlands.

We stayed for about two weeks at the Veluwe a large nature reserve area in our country with a lot to offer.

You'll find woodland, forests heath, a few small lakes and Europe's largest sand drifts area.

We did stay at Kootwijk and literally could call Kootwijkerzand our backyard.

Decided to take only two analog cameras with us during our stay at the Veluwe and a few of the older/classic lenses

A Canon Eos 33 and one of our Canon Eos 3 bodies with the Canon EF 17-35 F2.8L, 28-70 F2.8L and the magic drain pipe 80-200 F2.8L were used.

Loaded the Canon Eos 33 with colorfilm and the Canon Eos 3 with black and white film.

These photos were taken with the Canon Eos 3 which was loaded with some fresh (Ilford) Kentmere Pan 100.

Developing was done back at home in the days after returning from the Veluwe.

As always developing was done with our Caffenol recipe, Caffenol-C-L at 22c and stand developing for 50 minutes this time

The bridge and the mist

Once it gets past the unstable ground of the slide area, the trail descends via switchbacks to the level of the old canal and railbed and continues on under the new railroad bridge spanning the gorge just above the Upper Falls.

Rather than descending I continued on to just below the east end of the bridge, a place I had not been before. Directly across from me is a support structure from the old bridge left there as a memorial.

Friday, April 25. Walked trail 7 along the east rim of the river valley. It was a rainy, misty day, about 45F.

Back to shooting with the Ondu 135 pinhole camera, quite a switch from the huge negatives with the 6x12.
