More than twenty years ago, I bought a batch of boxes of screws and nails of various sizes from a hardware store on clearance. Having finally finished the contents of one of these boxes, I was about to throw it away when I realised that its label indicated that it came from a Walloon factory.
what a sadness! To realise that we used to produce these basic objects and that we are no longer able to do so.
So I keep it as a small testimony of this industrial tragedy.

Kentmere 100 in the Exakta Ihagee West TL500 (a sort of Japanese built Praktica). I tried again with 510 Pyro as the developer, but following a slightly different protocol and using Digital Truth's Massive Dev Chart app for the times. This was a semi stand development. Results were very different. 510 Pyro seems to suit this film and the negatives looked lovely, without the reported blotches I had seen before. Contrast was increased during scanning as there wasn't bucket loads of it, but I wouldn't expect it for this film and this lens.

Life seems a little bit like that at the moment.
When I first scanned this negative, I thought I had got some reticulation, then I remembered there had been a swarm of midges of some description, hovering over the water. Shot on Kentmere 100, developed in 510 Pyro. Camera: Mamiya C220.
we didn't go out for a hike the last few weekends, we had other plans and also do to some maintenance in our backyard.
So this time a few photos from a hike a few weeks ago.
We had a weekend with some nice and warm weather, decided to visit a nature reserve close to home.
Visited Balloërveld and followed one of the available trails.
Used the Canon Eos 1V again, have decided to use the Eos 1V more often and give our Canon Eos 3 bodies some rest and TLC
The 1v was loaded with some (Ilford) Kentmere Pan 100 and used it at EI 200 (ISO)
Developing is as always done with our caffenol recipe, Caffenol-C-L at 22c and stand developing for 55 minutes this time.

A shot taken in April 24 with the Ihagee Exa 500 on Kentmere 100. This church in Morton, Lincolnshire, has windows on both sides of the south transept, so in the morning the light comes right through. This was developed in Atomal 49.

More output from an Olympus OM101 I tested before putting it up for sale for a friend. With the manual adaptor this camera did rather better than I had thought. The powered focus was a bit odd to use, but the 35-70 zoom that these came with seems to be a nice piece of glass.Film was Kentmere Pan 100, developed in Atomal 49.
It was probably the last snowfall of the season.
Probably at 1/25', you can see the trail of falling flakes.
Ce fut sans doute la dernière chute de neige de la saison.

An other shot from our summer holiday at Schiermonnikoog. This one was taken at one of the access points at the Westerstrand area
Used the Canon Eos 1V during the summer holiday and it was loaded with some Kentmere Pan 100 film.
This film and it's 400 ISO version is one of my favorite films to use. Both do love to be developed in Coffee (Caffenol)

Another shot from a roll of Kentmere shot on the Exakta TL500, developed in 510 Pyro. This is a beach dried decaying tree trunk with a large beach stone trapped in on of the gaps. I see the face of a marine mammal surfacing and taking the stone in it's mouth. What do you see?

The sculpture of Godren Grovan and King Olaf, Norse kings of Man, by Amanda Barton. I have photographed this quite a few times, but not usually sat in a pool of water. Another frame from the recently tidied Minolta AL-F from the late sixties. Lovely little camera. I have cropped this slightly, so it is slightly less obvious on the left side, but edge sharpness isn't amazing. Overall though the lens delivers nicely. The viewfinder is very nice to use with good brightness. The rangefinder seems to be pretty accurate. It looked okay but was even brighter and easier after an internal clean. Having read some other reviews, I clearly need to take the top off again and have a go at adjusting the shutter button... it's travel is a bit too far, making shooting slightly sluggish with a risk of camera shake... hopefully quite easily sorted.
