Thanks U!
So this vintage Ken was probably one of my last vintage purchases before I completely felt bluh at getting more a few months ago. Like he came to me practically *new* feeling cuz his head hasn’t shrunk, his limbs were tight and his remaining paint was perfect. But he was completely missing an eye and eyebrow and I really felt trapped, custom/restoring wise.
Because if both his eyes were damaged I would have comfortable about either repainting or restoring him. But since I would have needed to start from scratch on one eye to match the perfect eye, or wipe a perfectly good eye paint.
So he’s just been sitting around, a representation of my feelings for vintage dolls being burnt out and how creatively burnt out I was.
But I’ve been trying to approach the hobby a bit differently and trying not to pressure myself so much so I decided to have a bit of fun while keeping his original paint intact.
It’s not a *perfect* custom but if it was it’d never be done.

My second time of having Kenner Blonde. Unlike my first one, she's very pretty. Funny thing is that although they are all from the same mold, every Kenner has her unique face. That's why I love Kenner so much!

Looking for more poseable Ken dolls, I did get here myself.
I implant another 1/6 scale doll arms on several Ken dolls until I get this result.
I still working on it. i want to get better hands.
These were taken in mid 2019 when the Thursday Market in Chesterfield was humming with folk who'd never heard of Covid 19. Trusty old Ilford FP4 Plus developed in Ilfosol was the medium.
I was lucky to win this amazing centerpiece - Ken Lagerfeld doll. MFDS 2015 Gala event was fantastic !
So far he is the newest Ken and, this Mini is my latest doll car too plus it has his name! This car will be his from now on and he doesn't have to drive around Barbie Town in a pink convertible or in any pink vehicle anymore! Hahaha!

Aidan is a Ken Fashionista and Jensen is a Ken Life in the Dreamhouse with repainted green eyes
Ugh... I'm heartbroken, again. This is the 3rd time in just a few weeks that I've done major damage to one of my dolls.
First it was chipping my poor Hannah's face and eyes while changing her chips
Then I dropped my Clove (Alice Chery Blossom Piggie) and her ear broke off and had to be glued back
And, today, when undressing Edyt so that she could get a hair wash and straighten, I discovered that these crappy pullip socks she'd been wearing -- for a few weeks -- not even all that long -- have permanently stained her legs...
Ugh, this stuff keeps happening to me.
Edyt says: "Mom, strike 3, you're out"
Seriously though, if anyone has any suggestions for cleaning her up, I'd appreciate it. I've tried a few things already... Some household type cleaners, the Mr. Clean Sponge, Even Sanding... No luck. Wah...
