Joe: You know Ken, Ken and Ken, I had a tough life. I played war and action games, I saw spiders and dust. Lots of stuff. I saw a lady living in pink, I saw a Sindy desperately in love with a guy she has like zero chance to get. But...dudes! You live in a box?! That's tough!
Ken: yeah...but all the shelves are full of Barbies and other girls.
Ken: ...there's no place left for us...

This spot had a real impact on me when we were in Cornwall , this is a tighter crop from a previous shot, lovely autum colours.
Beautiful Bride Barbie got a groom! Here's my just-arrived Partytime Ken from 1977, who was sold in Europe and Canada. (I wonder if we got him here in Australia too as we got a lot of the European and Canadian dolls from that time.) His slightly faded 'ghostly' pallor matches Barbie's, and I love that very 70's tuxedo! They are modelling in the Fashion Plaza's Bridal Boutique!
I ended up putting my other Mod Ken doll head on Alistair since his head has shrunk rock hard and looks weird on his own body lol. As you can see the body matches Raquelle’s skin tone so it’s the closest match to the BRIGHT pink Mod era skin tones.
It’s peachier than the Dexter skin tone but lighter than Hunter’s lol.

Ken was outside the Do-Rite Donut shop just east of Dearborn on Randolph. He's been homeless for 12 years. I asked him what his biggest need was. "I need Jesus", he said, "I've got cancer". He sleeps on the train and O'Hare when he can. "I don't look like a traveler, so they come right at me and make me leave." Ken was a bit downcast initially, "I haven't made a dollar today", he said. But he appreciated our conversation. "Thanks for talking with me...you never know what's going on with someone until you talk with them. You might change someone's life. We need each other--everybody needs somebody."
The poor new Ken got the wrong address. Instead of Pink Gables (where all the Barbie of the DuDidier street are living) he is at Sindy's.
Somebody got to tell Barbie's pets (Ninja, Miss Honey and BowBow) that playing hide and seek at Sindy's home is going too far.

Doll is Fashionistas Ken no.193 from 2022 (he's actually fresh from the oven-just released)
He doesn't have an official unofficial sculpt name (yet?).
I'm pretty sure he uses the same head mold as Fashionistas Ken 138 from 2019/2020 (the tanned guy with long rooted hair and tie & dye tee)
He got the slender body (standard height but skinny), not the petite Ken body as I thought. I wish Mattel made Made to Move versions of the different bodies Ken types too.
EDIT: I was all wrong, he doesn't have the same sculpt as Ken138 and there's no petite Ken body. The slender body is the one I thought was petite. But he's the same size as standard Ken, just slimmer. The 3rd Ken body type is the broad one.
