Cut-paper collage (plus markers & acrylic paint) postcard created for Kollage Kit theme: "Andy Warhol's Costume Party."
On another wall of the Factory Andy Warhol put up an enormous still from a video of Keith Haring painting a floor. The still was black-&-white, but Andy set out cans of paint and brushes, and his guests splashed the wall with bright colors. Jean-Michel Basquiat is the guy in the "I Survived 3 Mile Island!" T-shirt. As for the midget-sized Indian boy...well, he just insisted on joining the party.
Here's Part 1 of this party.
I want to wish everyone a Happy Hallowe'en and a fabulous Día de los Muertos!!

This example of the creative imagery and visual language of the late great pop artist Keith Haring (1958-1990) is a large sculpture of painted aluminum.
Haring’s iconic art, bold lines, vivid colors, and active figures, gained international acclaim with consistent social undertones of life, unity, love, war, and sex. I think this sculpture represents his life’s work in the purist form.
Untitled (Two Dancing Figures) can be seen very close to southern tip of Manhattan, at 17 State Street. The work is dated 1989.

Walking along the Rails to Trails in Collinsville, CT and saw this "chalk outline" resting in the shadows. Thought he looked pretty cool "behind bars".
Have a great weekend everyone.

An example of the reference to Keith Haring which I enjoy but not as much as his unique actual work.
