Luna Luna was an open-air museum and amusement park in Hamburg, West Germany that ran from June 4 to August 31, 1987; it was rediscovered and relaunched as a touring exhibition in 2023. Curated by Austrian artist André Heller, it was an attempt to "create a travelling terrain of modern art, that in the centuries-old principle of the fairground involves people of all ages and educational levels in playful acts". Heller commissioned around 30 contemporary artists to design the attractions, including Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Roy Lichtenstein, Salvador Dalí, David Hockney, Kenny Scharf, Roland Topor, Jean Tinguely, and Sonia Delaunay. After decades in storage, the works were restored and new works were commissioned for Luna Luna: Forgotten Fantasy, which embarked on a global tour in 2023 with funding from DreamCrew.

Grafit

Graphite
[Graffiti (Italian)]
[Art] registration or drawing on walls or other support for public spaces.
His motives reflect ideological or political expression, exhibiting the personality of an individual or a group or decorative purpose. Own marginal groups of the largest cities in the eighties we began to appreciate them as a visual expression of its own, such as the U.S. Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring.

Stedelijk museum Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Municipal Museum Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Keith Haring was originally seen as graffiti art on New York City streets and subway stations. His main source of inspiration was pop art.
Keith was known, among other things, for his social activism and engagement with the political climate in the eighties.
The above work is an early edition of the Free South Africa series, which depicts the struggle against institutionalized racial segregation. The black majority fights and conquers the oppressive white minority; these lopsided power relations are reflected in the size of the black and white figure. Approximately 20,000 posters from this series were distributed at New York City's anti-apartheid rally in 1985.
