«Pisa è incredibile. Non so da dove cominciare. Mi rendo conto ora che si tratta di uno dei progetti più importanti che io abbia mai fatto.» (Keith Haring, 19 giugno 1989)

Tuttomondo (English: All World) is a mural created by American artist Keith Haring in 1989. Located on the rear wall of the Sant'Antonio Abate church in Pisa, it is one of the last public murals executed before his death from AIDS-related complications in 1990. It is also one of the few outdoor public works created by Haring for permanent display. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuttomondo

"Keith Allen Haring (May 4, 1958 – February 16, 1990) was an American artist whose pop art emerged from the New York City graffiti subculture of the 1980s.[1] His animated imagery has "become a widely recognized visual language".[2] Much of his work includes sexual allusions that turned into social activism by using the images to advocate for safe sex and AIDS awareness."

Note: I'm not sure what those two chairs were done by him or not?

His later work often conveyed political and societal themes— anti-crack, anti-apartheid, safe sex, homosexuality and AIDS—through his own iconography. (From Wikipedia)

'Undear' President of Brazil,

I will simply love who I want to and all people should be equal in every way.

I flipped my president off.

Deforestation in the Amazon rainforest grows 96% in September, indicate warnings from INPE (National Institute for Space Research - Government Agency).

The destruction of the world's largest rainforest totaled 7,854 square kilometers between January and September, according to the National Institute for Space Research (Inpe). This is 10 times the area of New York City.

On The Kenmare Street side of L'asso Pizza, a NOLITA wall famous for attracting great artist, Damien Mitchell applies his aerosol magic touch to an old portrait of the late great Keith Haring.

With Damien Mitchell being one of my favorite living street artist and Keith Haring being the Jimi Hendrix of graffiti, I’m thinking this will be my favorite wall of 2016.

Amsterdam - Vredenhofpad.

In Amsterdam, the restoration of an enormous mural (1986) by the American artist Keith Haring (1958-1990) has recently been completed.

The "giant mythical beast", on the wall of a former refrigerating building, is Haring's second largest still existing work in public space in Europe.

Read more (info internet):

~~~~'Polka Dots' was the trademark of Yayoi Kusama in her initial years. Her paintings were different from other pop-art artists. She used to depict simple paintings of mundane objects such as distorted bird shapes, daily use products.
Yayoi Kusama began covering surfaces as Keith Haring. She painted at all possible places- household objects, floors, canvases, walls even naked assistants. By 1950, she came to public attention due to this unique style.
And by late 1960, this pop-art artist had become famous in the art world and advertisement industry. She is not only renowned in painting and drawing, but her work is spread to installation art, performance art, writing, and fashion, etc.~~~~
The official website of Yayoi Kusama is yayoi-kusama.jp , where you can see all her artworks.
Ignorancia = miedo. Silencio = muerte. Era su lema.
Su alegato se plasmó en el corazón del barrio mas infame de Barcelona, en un mural de treinta metros de longitud por dos de altura. Estaba pintado en rojo en una pared inclinada y sucia de una construcción ruinosa en la plaza Salvador Seguí, lugar habitual de prostitutas y drogadictos.
En el se ve una jeringuilla enrollada por una gigantesca serpiente dispuesta a devorar a la gente que huye despavorida, bajo la cual se lee la palabra SIDA. Está rematado con la frase: 'Todos juntos podemos parar el sida'. Era el año 1989.
El lugar no era el más adecuado para perdurar. A principio de los 90 se estaba deteriorando por la degradación ambiental y debido al acoso de grafiteros espontáneos. En 1992, año de las olimpiadas de Barcelona, desapareció con la reforma urbanística del barrio. Sólo habían pasado tres años desde su creación.
25 años después el mural volvió a la calle de Barcelona. Esta vez en las inmediaciones del Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona. Vuelta que fue posible a que antes de derribar el muro donde fue pintado originalmente, el Ayuntamiento hizo un calco a tamaño real de la obra y conservó muestras de color.
Su autor, Keith Haring, murió el 16 de febrero de 1990 con sólo 31 años. Ya era una celebridad mundial cuando pintó el mural de Barcelona, uno de sus últimos alegatos contra la enfermedad que le mató.
Su obra barcelonesa no le sobrevivió mucho tiempo pero, hoy, una reproducción del original nos lo recuerda.
The mural above the Empire Diner, a New York City landmark in Chelsea, is getting a much needed update. The colorful graffiti art seems to be in time to match the colors from the autumn leaves in the neighborhood.
Gone is the awkward “cyborg saloon lady”, getting replaced with a new mural featuring some the most renowned and influential artists of the late 20th century from Andy Warhol to Keith Haring & Jean-Michel Basquiat.
The mural is still a work-in-progress, but I do hope the final design gets at least a couple of "clean display" days, before the inevitable tagging happens.
