Tribute to Keith Haring, a recreation of Keith Haring's celebrated Houston Street and Bowery mural was on display in its original location from March 4 to December 21, 2008. The project, executed by Gotham Scenic and presented courtesy of Goldman Properties, the Keith Haring Foundation, and Deitch Projects, opened to commemorate what would have been Haring's 50th birthday. The original became an instant landmark after Keith painted it, with the help of his partner Juan Dubose, even though it was up for only a few in the summer of 1982.
Goldman Properties, owned by real-estate developer and art enthusiast Tony Goldman, acquired the wall in 1984, using it for advertisements for two decades. In 2008, Goldman donated the wall to his friend and curator, Jeffrey Deitch and Deitch Projects, establishing a relationship that resulted in a series of sanctioned murals on the space from a rotating group of artists and that would ultimately carry over to Miami's Wynwood Walls.

HOMENAGEM A KEITH HARING:

Keith Haring: The Political Line exhibition, Sep.20, 2015 – Feb.7, 2016.
The Political Line is a major exhibition on the life and work of influential American artist and activist Keith Haring (1958-1990). With his unmistakably unique style, Keith Haring, a protégé of Andy Warhol, spawned a revolution in art during the 1980s.

Made in 1983, The Matrix is a 9-metre long mural that features some of Haring’s most iconic symbols including crawling babies, barking dogs, flying saucers and TV’s which embraced music, performance, concept and craft. The work is a highlight of the critically acclaimed exhibition that explores Haring’s part in the legendary New York art scene of the 80's.
BOZAR presents a major retrospective of the legendary American artist, Keith Haring. As a friend and artistic companion to Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring was a unique figure in 1980s New York. He played a key role in counterculture by creating an instantly recognisable style. Haring is primarily known for his iconic motifs: barking dogs, crawling babies and flying saucers. He strived to make art “public” by displaying it in his Pop Shop, the media or in subway stations and collective urban spaces. He drew inspiration from abstract expressionism, pop art, Japanese calligraphy and the work of New York graffiti artists. His singular, seemingly spontaneous style embodied the energy of his time, from space travel to hip-hop and video games. His powerful work is still relevant today.
Organised by Tate Liverpool in collaboration with BOZAR /Centre for Fine Arts Brussels and Museum Folkwang, Essen.
Location: BOZAR/Centre for Fine Arts, rue Ravenstein 23, Brussels, Belgium

In the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City, the stainless steel Empire Diner was built by a dining car company in the 1940s. In 2018 Brazilian Eduardo Kobra painted the mural on the wall above it, depicting a "Mount Rushmore" of modern artists: Andy Warhol, Frida Kahlo, Keith Haring, and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Because of Covid, as with many restaurants in NYC, the diner's capacity has been at least doubled by outdoor seating.
A piece inspired by the work of Keith Haring. Look him up, he's got some nice stuff like this!
