Pieter de Hooch (1629-84) - Maid with a bucket in a yard, c1658-60

Domino, a cabaret singer at the PaPa Club in Karlsruhe, a beautiful and friendly entertainer.

 

She spoke English and German and was a regular at the club. The Papa club in Karlsruhe was probably about 5 to 6 miles from Smiley Barracks. In those years I walked everywhere. Weather her real name was Domino or it was her stage name I don't know. (Photo and story by Al St.Jacques)

The castle in Karlsruhe, on my layover on my way to Frankfurt. Look at that gorgeous blue sky! 7 July 2012.

This lidded dish by Karlsruhe Majolika of West Germany features a brilliant butterfly decoration by Anita Fuchs on the lid. It is marked Karlsruhe 7228, and was found in St. Paul, Minnesota.
