“Life is but a Weaving” (The Tapestry Poem) by Corrie ten Boom
My life is but a weaving
Between my God and me.
I cannot choose the colors
He weaveth steadily.
Oft’ times He weaveth sorrow;
And I in foolish pride
Forget He sees the upper
And I the underside.
Not ’til the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly
Will God unroll the canvas
And reveal the reason why.
The dark threads are as needful
In the weaver’s skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned
He knows, He loves, He cares;
Nothing this truth can dim.
He gives the very best to those
Who leave the choice to Him.
Corrie ten Boom
The Moon Journal is an altered atlas that now functions as my daily journal. It's big and I love it. More on my blog: caatjesartsystuff.blogspot.nl/2012/05/more-from-moon-jour...
I've been keeping a daily quiet time journal for several years, and Moleskine is the best one yet. Click on the Flickr notes to see what's on the cover! I'm only about a week into this new one.

I started these with painted backgrounds. Then other people added 4 additional layers but each person only had 1 1/2 minutes per page. I think the results are wonderful!
I was so fortunate to attend a journaling class with Teesha Moore at the beginning of August. I made these
two pages as a way to capture my memories of that day.

I'm entering this in a call for visual journals by the Brooklyn Sketchbook Library to be put in a time capsule for 50 years (!). I've decided the theme will be birds, with the Emily Dickinson quote in mind, "I hope you love birds too. It's economical. It saves going to heaven."
I have been making some journals and little books lately ,here is a pic of some in various stages of progress.
Told from a friend to have a look in today's Journal.....paper is that thin you can see through it. Chuffed anyway. :)
I had done a sketch on this page in pencil, that I didn't like...so I reworked it with collage. this was fun!
Today is beautiful. I decided to sit outside and work on my art journal. It was pretty fun. I got rid of the stupid polka dots on the purple flower. I like the colors but I'm not too thrilled about this page. All that matters is that i had fun. Not sure what else I'll be doing with it.
And everything it makes me dream of!
I searched in vain for the perfect tape but no luck... Plus I am trying to do this whole journal exercise without spending money so...... I used pink ribbon and some stationery I found in my stash!
Autumn is my favourite month..But here are some reasons why summer is cool too!!
