O-wire bound from day 1 to 26. Such a lovely and long journey filled with thousand pieces of old Christmas memories.
This is a present I made my BFF that is made out of ALL envelopes of different sizes to store pieces for her art journal. I'm very excited about it and can't wait to make one for myself! I'll have more info about it at my blog. TFL!
I have been keeping journals, both for art and writing, off and on since 1999. Awhile back, I came across this one with a fancy cover that I kept for a few months in 2001. I looked through some of the pages and memories came back to me.

weekend cabin photos part three
out at the cabin, my in-laws keep a journal of the events that transpire out at the lake. we came across it this weekend after it sat silent more for than a year. of course, my entries consisted of bragging how i had out-fished everyone and how i had managed to steer clear of playing games (i am getting better at those, or at least enduring them). but my favorite was one written by my now mother-in-law:
...great day. weather warm. bugs aren't bad yet - except for matt.

Journal Building, 1133 6th Street, Nevada, Iowa. The Nevada Journal Building was constructed by George and Oscar Benjamin, editors and publishers of the Nevada Journal, in 1905 to house the offices of their local newspaper. It is now the home of R.H. Investments.

just sharing a few scans of my Spain 2008 travel journal. i'm having such a fun time putting this together. it's been the tops!

Edinburgh [etc.] :Published for the proprietor [etc.],1835-1840.
I started out sketching the ATC border then stopped and sketched the dancer and moon. Then came the drums followed by the ATC design. The journal entry just decided it wanted to be there. hehe
Two filled art journals + one I recently started, among some of my materials (the rest are in the drawer below).
No room for journaling today. Just added more doodles with the white sharpie, and more layers and highlights to the flowers with neocolor II crayons.
Can't wait to start a new page tomorrow!
Journaling is very important to me. When you're in the moment you don't realize the little things you might forget if you don't write them down. Just need to motivate myself to jot down my thoughts every so often.

Not feeling inspired, but a little discouraged with my art work today. I'm sure reading lesson two will cure that ... that and time, patience and practice.
