We pulled up to the cabins we were staying at right around the time the sun was setting and the clouds broke for a minute. Turns out a lot of people had come down to this area to take some pictures. This is what it looked like in many areas on these islands. It truly is a photographers playground.

Europe - Portugal - Região Norte - North Region - Porto - Oporto - Capela do Senhor da Pedra - Lord of the Rock - Iconic hexagonal design chapel built on top of rock situated right on shoreline of Atlantic ocean
This chapel has been on my list for some time and it didnt disappoint, well at least at the end. I drove to this location directly from the Lisbon airport in possibly worse weather I have experienced in Portugal during various trips. First 2 days were complete write off, in terms of photography for the apocalyptic rain that was falling on this wonderful country. However the 3rd day, the sky opened up and I was rewarded with one of the most spectacular sunset in a very long time. I should not forget to mention that the wonderful sneaky Atlantic Ocean washed me over completely 2x . There is nothing more fun to do, than standing completely wet in rather chilly December day. Joining the Oregon Trail sesquicentennial celebrations, July 1993, as the wagon train crosses Idaho to Oregon, retracing the 2,170-mile route of the pioneers 150 years earlier. Photos taken on the day the train crossed Snake River at Glenns Ferry. Taken as a travel journalist on a press trip.
This is Cheeseman Run flowing into the Slippery Rock Creek in the Gorge at McConnell's Mill State Park. Hadn't been down the trail to the bottom of this gorge since last year. Was in search of the Purple Trillion flowers which are usually close to this spot but didn't see any. Not even the white ones. Don't think I missed them but maybe it was too soon. Lot of felled trees along the trail from Eckert Bridge. The road is gated from the top of the hill by Breakneck Bridge but hopefully until Memorial Day. The road looked OK. Great new guard rail a few years ago but the road hasn't been maintained for probably 25-30 years.

Chasen's Mountain Pit Viper (Garthius chaseni) from the montane forest of Sabah, Borneo (East Malaysia). This specimen was much darker than the first one we found back in May 2017.

Recently I was kind of greedy with updates, however I do have a cool excuse - I am currently on a reality TV show, will later do a blog about it.

Work created for Ilex Press's anthology of contemporary surrealists "Surreal Photography - Creating the Impossible", which will be available in spring 2013. Check the book out for some of the secrets and techniques that I use in my works will also be revealed in this book - there will be a step-by-step editing guide.
