Jim Steele is only one of six craftsmen who builds Windsor chairs using age-old traditional techniques, and we were privileged enough to have him working in our space for a whole week.
With over 20 years experience of using British elm, ash and yew he was a huge vat of knowledge. Over the course of the week Jim turned the rough components into a double bow back Windsor chair, using his refined technique and specialist hand tools.
