live.pirillo.com - Over the past few days, I came under a light attack. I was frozen out of my iTunes account after someone gained access to it. You all know I'm not an Apple basher. I love my iPhone. When anything works well, I will say so. When something doesn't work, I will say that as well. I don't care what company it is. So tonight, it's Apple's turn. This video was originally shared on blip.tv by l0ckergn0me with a No license (All rights reserved) license.
Screenshot of Monkey Island running on my (jailbroken) iPhone under the ScummVM emulator.
Works great and surprisingly playable; I played the entire game through again on the plane.

From the VentureBeat article: mobile.venturebeat.com/2010/08/21/apple-applies-for-paten...
The implication in the article being that Apple may choose to remote wipe jailbroken devices, under the guise of preventing unauthorised access.
This is still a big 'may'.
My reading of the patent (http://www.patentvest.com/console/reports/docs/app/20100207721.html) is that Apple could offer, in future, such 'protection' against unauthorised access (with subsequent remote kill functionality) to all users by default, together with a weaselly disclaimer, warning that jailbreaking may result in data loss due their unauthorised access protection system.
The problem is that jailbreaking is now an activity practiced by law-abiding citizens, so if Apple deliberately causes personal data loss, they will have account for such action, or have given sufficient warning to users of the circumstances in which it may occur. Given the outcry (and expensive resolution) over antennagate, killing phones remotely without the user's consent seems like a PR nightmare...
...but let's not forget that they did quite blithely 'brick' 2G jailbroken phones with a software update back in 2007...

I recorded some vid clips using my jailbroken iphone with Cycorder during my experience of Election Day 2008. Driving to the polls, waiting in line and even voting. Later I show you my reaction to the speeches after the amazing results were tallied. This video was originally shared on blip.tv by jasontucker with a No license (All rights reserved) license.
i took this screenshot just to remind myself what it was like running 2.0.2 jailbroken+unlocked before my big 3.0 update
A replacement for the default loading screen for gpSPhone. It is designed for the iPhone 4's Retina display (940x640, 326 ppi). To install, rename to "Default.png" and replace the file of the same name in "/Applications/gpSPhone.app" (don't forget to remove the quotes from everything!).
gpSPhone is available from the Cydia store (jailbroken iDevices only) and is developed by ZodTTD.

*note my phone is jailbroken*
I installed Lockinfo in cydia and love it. It's not free, it costs $4.99 and I think I'll buy it once my trial is up.
I dont have to unlock my phone to see anything, which can be nice at times
My mom got herself an iPhone off of eBay, then handed it over to me. I had the fun job of figuring out how to jailbreak and unlock it. It wasn't too hard, thankfully! Just a bit time consuming, especially since I'm a douche that can't seem to get the damn thing into DFU mode 95% of the time.
new backgrounding app multifl0w for jailbroken iPhones. Creates a Palm Pre-style menu of backgrounded apps represented by screenshots of the app.
That's right! But that's not just any duct tape, it's black Gorilla tape. In any case, the case broke and had to fix it temporarily.
