Start by getting the Micke desk at IKEA and setting it up. Check the other stuff off and lets get started. Finish the table but don't put the drawers in yet; you'll be getting dirty to set up the wiring down there.
Get all the USB/Power Wires/Etc. you will need to connect. Take the USB extension cord/hub and use 1 USB port on the PC/Laptop. Send the other end down under the table where all the rest will connect. You can also just do this with a PC on the floor and send the USB cord up from the back of the machine. Connect the required USB cables to the USB hub which should now be placed under the table in the "wire-compartment." Use the zip-ties for any extra wiring.
Route the USB wires up from one of the sides. Tape em' down in there and behind the desk so it doesn't get messy! Use a Keep-A-Cable to hold the wires up behind the desk so you don't need to reach for them every time. Finally just connect the power wire for the machine and monitor to the extension cord which you plugged into the wall outlet. Place it underneath the table in the wire compartment.
Bonus tip: Use some of the cardboard from the box to make compartments inside the drawers for different daily use of school materials, etc.!

My first generation iPad (64gb, WiFi) is exhibiting a most peculiar error. It is not jailbroken.
The icons are duplicated and congregate by the upper left corner. The original app icons do not register touches. The duplicate app icons can be dragged to anywhere and do not conform to the grid.
This is the homescreen on my (jailbroken) iPhone. No, the background isn't from OS 4, it's part of a springboard theme.
* A little extension known as Weather Icon shows the temperature in the Weather App icon and in my status bar. (jailbroken app)
* The discs on Phone and Mail are part of the Backgrounder app that lets me run an app or two in the background (mostly used for Tweetie and Colloquy/IRC). (jailbroken app)
* Things is a task management app that is GTD-based. I've got three things due today.
* Meebo is a great little multi-protocol IM client with push notifications. It's free, but basic (and fast).
* Evernote stores my notes and such in the cloud.
* Tweetie is my Twitter client of choice.
* Byline is my Google Reader client right now. I've tried Reeder but it's just too slow on my 3G.
Playing Killzone 3 on a modded PS3? You may want to rethink your gameplan. In light of Sony's ongoing battle of attrition with hackers, Guerrilla Games has made it clear it will be working with Sony to deal swift justice to players who use a jailbroken system to gain a competitive online edge.
"The ability for one person to ruin people's games is not a good prospect obviously, so we're working with Sony on the moderation side," said studio producer Steven Ter Heide in his chat with CVG, continuing, “We're looking at people misbehaving, being able to follow reports against those so that's all been taken care of - and we're working with Sony to see, even more aggressively, what kind of things are happening.”
Heide explained that Guerrilla will be actively monitoring online leaderboards and player stats for suspicious activity, and taking action when foul play is evident. He also noted the studio was not adverse to issuing continual updates if that's what it takes to keep Killzone 3 unsullied by system modders, adding, “That's the reality now, we have to keep patching the game to make sure we keep getting one over the hackers."
Killzone 3 is only a couple day young, so we'll have to wait and see if Guerrilla can keep a lid on the PS3 tomfoolery. In the meantime jailbreakers, consider yourself...cautioned?

The iPod Touch is the newest friend I have. Look it's jailbroken, I have installed 25 new applications on it includeing iPhone's native apps like the Mail, Weather and Stocks. Neat eh?
Upon escaping the safety of the indoors. The now Free, (or jail broken lol) Iphone makes his way through the outdoors. When he finds a bone with mysterious chew marks on it, his normally smiling face becomes sad and unsure.
At least if he gets too scared, he could always download AT&T Navigator and make his way home. He's too cheap to get Mobile Me for himself, poor bugger.

John created the upgraded rendition of the iPhone 4 featured here at 10x to scale, complete with a 40" LED LCD Panel, a Jailbroken iPhone 4, VGA out from the iPohone, LED Back Camera Light, weighs roughly 75 lbs and uses a mini 12v Battery with 2+ hours of battery life. The costume took a total of 3 days / 40 hours to complete.
BACKSTORY -- This all started three years ago Reko Rivera and Bobby Hartman created a wearable large iPhone costume with a real 37" lcd tv. An iPod was attached with a looping video of a real iphones screen in normal use. Last year with the help of John Savio and John Matthews the team created yet another amazing rendition of the new iPhone 3GS. Savio loved the original idea but wanted to take it to the next level and make it thinner and actually work with user input! With some heavy researching and some solid determination Savio finally found a solution. He managed to modify the software on the iPhone to allow a live dual image output to the large 42" lcd tv while maintaining the image in landscape mode. Reko originally came up with the idea and really pushed to see his vision come to life two years ago. This year John Savio and Reko Rivera embarked on different projects. John stuck with his love of apple products and Reko ventured off to explore his love of DJ'ing with a mobile DJ setup.

Gave my baby sister my old iPhone. What a royal pain that was--it needed to be unlocked for T-mobile then switch iTunes account. She seems real happy tho, so it was all worth it!

i think this is one of the only applications i've been truely impressed with on my recently jailbroken iPod touch.
last.fm is already my favourite website, seeing as i've been a member for over three years now, they really know my music taste and nearly every suggestion is perfect.
The mobile scrobbler app is perfect, it lets you scrobble tracks direct from the iPod via wifi, or store them until you are connected, but it also allows you to stream their radio over the wifi too, which is perfect. that includes your recommendations, similar artists and your own play lists. and like everything they do it works absolutely perfectly.
Using a "jailbroken" iPhone 3G with the App "iBluetooth" one can easily print from the iPhone to the Polaroid PoGo printer.

I was asked to purchase a few iPod Touches for work yesterday. They will be Jailbroken and used for special projects in the Security Architecture course. I've been playing with it. It's a rather cool toy. Spec-wise I think the Nokia N800 is a far better device, but the ease of use with Apple's AppStore is seamless. WiFi works out-of-the-box. And I even purchased an officially-sactionned International Year of Astronomy iPhone/iPod Touch application called Star Walk. It provides a 360° view of the celestial vault and you can scroll from north to south pole, too. The Stanza eBook reader can even download public domain books from the Gutenberg Project.
All of the applications I have on my Jailbroken 1.1.4 iPod Touch as of right now. Some of them I haven't used yet. Any thoughts on them?
