Jailbroke my itouch using jailbreakme.com (no longer usable)

Jailbroken iPod Touch with MacBook Air keyboard and personalized fonts for the Notes App. To change fonts use FontSwap on Cydia, for the keyboard iAccess also on Cydia.

This is the feature I expect to enjoy the most. No need to dig up the phone from my pocket, which is a pain with headphone cables and long winter jackets.

It will show about one SMS's lenght of characters, 160 or so, before truncating the message. The message above was about 3 SMS messages long, and it couldn't be scrolled (using the up & down buttons on the right) to more than 1/3 the way through. But of course this long SMS's are very rare and pointess anyway, so it will work great with normal everyday messaging.

Only problem is that to enable more apps, like Twitter/any app, to post notifications (like @messages) to your watch, iOS needs to be Jailbroken to brake a "Bluetooth barrier" by Apple. If you have an Android device, you might get more functionality out of your Pebble (but I haven't checked).

I finally got around to jailbreaking my phone and I'm in love! I'm sure I'll get the people who will tell me I shouldn't jailbreak it but c'mon Apple let us customize our phones a little more and we won't have to resort to the illegal way! :-)

Apple happens to be recognized to seriously curate their Appstore, like Walmart, as the jailbroken option, Cydia, happens to be considered more available, just like a marketplace. As it happens, nevertheless, established Appstore applications might flow your computer data much more than...

Ninja gets a bit jealous when Quptas is snuggling up to my legs / feet. At Carl Schurz Park during the NYC Huskies Group meetup. Cameos by Ninja and Epic. This 'video' was taken with my jailbroken iPhone, meaning that it was taken with a device not even meant to record video. So, please understand that it's basically a collection of photos strung together, synced with recorded sound.

This is a problem. I want to upload my final 365 shots in a timely manner. Don't get me wrong, I believe in unpluging and enjoying, but I'm in the final run of my 365 and for my own sanity I'm getting these up and out as soon as I take them.

So, what is the solution? Enter the jailbroken iPhone3Gs. If I can get a 3G signal or even an Edge network signal up there, I'm tethering this bad boy to the laptop and getting the photos onto flickr. AT&T better have some signal up there. I'll be the last straw before my jump to Verizon with or without their build of the iPhone.

My bro's formerly jailbroken iPod Touch became corrupted and wouldn't sync, so we had to restore it. Upon re-connecting the iPod to the computer, iTunes gleefully reported that there is no SIM card in the iPod.

So my brother paid $299 for an iPhone, yet it doesn't have a SIM card slot? Too bad today isn't April 1st.

Luna wrangles my iPhone to record me on video for a few moments before we get out of bed. (iPhone 2G has video because it is Jailbroken.)

I think the cutest part is where she exclaims proudly "This taking you...pictures of Papi! My good." ["My" stands in for "I" or "I'm" right now]

IPad 1 jailbroken with Display Out hack. Eyeclops pico projector and iPad AV Cable and portable battery pack. Running FREE Sketchbook X app with layers for maps. Works surprisingly well albeit the projector is not super bright it is lightweight and portable. I do have an old LCD VGA projector around that I will try next.

This is some of the awesome stuff you can do now a days with a Jailbroken iPhone.

Apps:

* Palm Pre like application switching using ProSwitcher.

* Overview of all your home screens using Overboard.

* Dock icon reflections using Reflective Dock.

Themes:

* True Matte theme for Springboard.

* Customized version of Springboard Expose theme for Overboard.

Probably my most used iPhone app. I realized though that in order to get a REAL accurate look at the costs and milage you have to start the first record with milage ONLY. So, not entering the fuel information, cost, etc. JUST The milage.

I actually worked out the math. And it was complicated. And I'm blond.

So this is around three weeks of driving. 50 mile round trip commute to work and we use my car for most family outings.

In my fanfic tales, Maddy had a heavily modded laptop that she relied on, but now I think she'd have an equally jailbroken and modded smartphone.

I actually intended to take this one while we had light, but ended up dealing with another piece of essential technology that wasn't working. Darn toilet,,,,but it's flushing instead of threatening to overflow now, so that's good.

a recent snapshot of my iPhone config. i love the icon setup now. so much easier to use than the stock format - namely contacts now at the bottom. sooo much easier... w00t, etc.

Hopefully this will be addressed in the next update.

For me it goes a little something like this.

Auto-lock kicks in @ 60 seconds

2 hours later, you check your phone for missed messages and the time

is the time it was when the device last locked.

The potential impact here is huge, I think.

- Does the alarm clock work? - Nope, of course not.

- Will other time based problems occur, such as calendaring or applications depending on the clock value? Sure

- Does the time change instantly after locking? - Sometimes, not always. Sometimes it just WONT change without a RESET.

Maybe it's not a bug but a conflict with a feature or setting or some such.

Maybe the time comes in from a 3G connection (to which is [expletive deleted] for me just about anywhere right now)
