possibly my favorite function.

desperately waiting for the cut & paste ability to arrive.

Launches new but has been jailbroken iOS 10
A great news for the jailbreak community as hacker iH8sn0w today published a clip on YouTube shows an iPhone 5 jailbreak he has 10 beta iOS. So will soon have tool for everyone to use. Now it seems the method of iH8sn0w only on 32-bit CPU, rather...
My mom got herself an iPhone off of eBay, then handed it over to me. I had the fun job of figuring out how to jailbreak and unlock it. It wasn't too hard, thankfully! Just a bit time consuming, especially since I'm a douche that can't seem to get the damn thing into DFU mode 95% of the time.
I finally found a non-dark home screen background that I don't hate.
After 2+ years of non-jailbroken iPhone ownership, I'm still finding it hard to let go of the dark background, most colours and photos end up looking pretty tacky, in my opinion. But I like the faux-blueprint.
Another thing I'm still not sold on: folders. But that's a discussion for another day.

What a job this was....
This video was done using a new iPhone app called "Cycorder". It is an app I got thru Cydia so your iPhone needs to be jailbroken (not available in the App store). It is a free app (unlike iPhone Video Recorder also found in Cydia). This app doesn't have sound & isn't compressed so the file is large. I SSH into my iPhone & saved it to my computer. Then I opened Windows Movie Maker to rotate it since it was sideways (reason for black bars on the side). I resaved it as a .wmv which made the original 10.3mb file a 3.37mb file.
Lots of work but all in all pretty cool app.
Can't wait for Wind Waker, in the meantime I'll have to deal with SNES games on a NON JAILBROKEN iPAD!
Steve Jobs Wallpaper for the Kindle owning Mac user, you want to use the 600x800 picture, but if you have Jailbroken your Kindle I'm sure you know that already.
This was taken less than 24 hours after jailbreaking my handset. It's understandable why people who've jailbroken their phone and tweaked it, have never wanted to go back to the way things used to be. Can't recommend it enough! Especially as it's free and relatively easy to figure out. (15 Jun 2012)
This is a jailbroken iPod touch. As you can see all the icons are personalized, also the carrier, wallpaper and dock. To JB an iPod or iPhone you can use balckra1n, once jailbroken install Cydia (the equivalent to the app store). The app used to personalize themes is called Winterboard.
I finally got my translucent iPhone icons. Icons pulled off jailbroken phone using IPhone Explorer. Encrypted .png icons unlocked by fixpngdroplet.
Jailbroken 2G 8GB iPod Touch on firmware 3.1.3. Jailbroken with Spirit. Yes, that's right, it has the phone apps.

My Christmas present from Elise, come early. A week or so ago she asked me hypothetically what I would want engraved on an Apple product. I answered her. The back of my 16gig iPod Touch says...
Warning: Ingestion will result in expulsion from Eden
She spoils me.
Sidenote: This is the music video for Radio Nowhere by Bruce Springsteen playing on it. I can't recommend his new album Magic highly enough, go buy it now.
Sidesidenote: I am in no way affiliated with Apple or Bruce Springsteen. But wouldn't mind getting to buy Bruce a beer. That would be awesome.
My jailbroken iPod Touch.
The theme is called "Extreme Contrast". The carrier, background, slider buttons and various other details are inspired by Lost.
If you look carefully, there are 12 pages of apps. Also, this is not a jailbroken iPhone.

Using Redsn0w. Then I got this supreme LCARs theme off Cydia. This is a work in progress, as I've got a couple more tweaks I nee to add in.
New iPhone 2g. On t-mobile and no new contract, yo! I probably saved $800 in the long term. Thanks Matt!
My first attempt at using a custom iPhone theme.
I've never been fond of theming the iPhone for several reasons, the main one of them being that the default looks are impressive and beautiful! Now, this 2G is getting old and the older it gets the more comfortable playing around with it I get (I've had it jailbroken/unlocked since close to day 1 though), especially installing some more "radical" apps like LockInfo and these themes.
To be honest, I hate 99.99% of the themes available but this one is BEAUTIFUL and has tons of talented folks adapting app icons especifically for it (check this thread at MacThemes: cld.ly/d21k2r).
Notes:
1. Yes, I'm giving biteSMS a try… So far so good! Loving it, actually!
2. Yes, that Weather icon updates dynamically! ;)
3. Yes, I'll post the Lockscreen with LockInfo (yes, I bought it) soon… Not as cute, but handy to have.

A reason to JB your iPad...
AirVideoEnabler...
Record your TV shows on your Mac using EyeTV then stream the show direct to your TV using iPad (Jailbroken of course) using Airplay with your AppleTV.
This is the feature I expect to enjoy the most. No need to dig up the phone from my pocket, which is a pain with headphone cables and long winter jackets.
It will show about one SMS's lenght of characters, 160 or so, before truncating the message. The message above was about 3 SMS messages long, and it couldn't be scrolled (using the up & down buttons on the right) to more than 1/3 the way through. But of course this long SMS's are very rare and pointess anyway, so it will work great with normal everyday messaging.
Only problem is that to enable more apps, like Twitter/any app, to post notifications (like @messages) to your watch, iOS needs to be Jailbroken to brake a "Bluetooth barrier" by Apple. If you have an Android device, you might get more functionality out of your Pebble (but I haven't checked).
