Winter Magic Festival- Katoomba 2012
My son Luke dressed as his favorite actor Johnny Depp from 'Pirates of the Caribbean' movies. The weather was perfect for the festival this year.
So, I've been wanting Out with Puppy since the beginning of my obsession with Momokos, but she's pretty rare and my budget is pretty tight. So I calculated that if I bought a nude Baby Labyrinth or another blue-eyed girl, and then had her rerooted as a redhead, I'd still be better off financially than hunting for one. So far so good. I bought a nude Baby Labyrinth, the girl was tucked away until I had more money.
THEN they had to come out with Military Girl Momoko, and I realized that OMG. I don't want any other redhead... Plus, thanks to Angel and other people on MyMomoko.org I fell in love with the blondie, so now I have an unplanned new doll.
She's named Nicola (soft "a") and she's French.

My new Jack Sparrow wig arrived yesterday (courtesy of the best Jack Sparrow costume designer in the world Mr. Scott Blake [costume & SFX designer for film & stage]) and today I had a chance to try it on. Keep in mind these are just a few quick shots and I did not use 2 trinkets that came with the wig and the double beard breads. The eyeliner was minimal and very simple just to showcase the wig. It's the 'On Stranger Tides' version and it is I swear exactly like the one Johnny uses on that movie. All the very same trinkets, bead strands and dreadlocks. Notice the hanging key, the celtic cross, all the same exact details. Unbelievably screen accurate. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Johnny actually got his from Scott... Needless to say, I couldn't be happier!

this cake has all of the birthday boy's favourite things. polo (hence the polo horse and field), cadillacs, captain jack sparrow (with the birthday boy's face) and of course his lovely girlfriend (who actually bought this cake for him). i decided to do jack sparrow without his overcoat as i thought i could put in more detail that way. the thing with the girl holding up one of her shoes was a special request from the client.
