Ever since we planned our day trip I said I was going to have my picture taken with Jack Sparrow.
And that's exactly what I did :)
In front of Pirates of the Caribbean
Saturday June 31 2007
Currently it's hard to find time for a decent building session. But I worked through a couple of bags last night - bags 5 and 6 of Queen Anne's Revenge.
Both men are making money off of Hollywood Boulevard. One uses a skill he has honed for decades, while the other gets his ass pinched by moms and their daughters.
The cannibals are after Jack!
I referred to this shot several times earlier on (or later depending on which order you view the pictures!).
Jack Sparrow... Johnny Depp... Keith Richard perhaps? Actually, it's Vince Bartolone, although I had to look twice to be sure.
A talented and charming entertainer, one of many people I met today at the local Renaissance Faire.
More from this outing later in the week--most were shot on film and, for those of you who may not recall, it takes a while to get those processed and scanned. I took a few digital shots (including this one) toward the end of the day but, truth be told, I mostly just hung out chatting and drinking until dusk.
All in all, a very nice afternoon.
A street artist entertaining kids (and grown ups for that matter) in a square in Malaga.
This is his facebook page: www.facebook.com/show.pirata.9
A watercolour painting that I finished yesterday of Johnny Depp when he played the character of Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Carribean.

"Row, row, row your boat
gently across the lake.
Davy jones screamed crocodile,
I thought it was a fake!"
Made my Scott Blake :)
My new Jack Sparrow wig arrived yesterday (courtesy of the best Jack Sparrow costume designer in the world Mr. Scott Blake [costume & SFX designer for film & stage]) and today I had a chance to try it on. Keep in mind these are just a few quick shots and I did not use 2 trinkets that came with the wig and the double beard breads. The eyeliner was minimal and very simple just to showcase the wig. It's the 'On Stranger Tides' version and it is I swear exactly like the one Johnny uses on that movie. All the very same trinkets, bead strands and dreadlocks. Notice the hanging key, the celtic cross, all the same exact details. Unbelievably screen accurate. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Johnny actually got his from Scott... Needless to say, I couldn't be happier!

We found a sand volleyball court so it was only appropriate to recreate a scene from the movie where Jack Sparrow is reaching for his drink while on a beach.
