I was adventurous for the second time in my life while climbing down rocks to get this shot. Heh.
Check out the lovely E family and so many more pictures on the blog!
In other news, I have also started a 101 goals in 1001 days on my blog, so check that out too!
AND, I just downloaded the Lightroom trial version. And I will say it's a little intimidating. For now at least. I am just going to check out some tutorials, but I think it will make my workflow MUCH easier than PSE. It takes WAY too long to do simple things on there with a bunch of photos. Any tips will be helpful!

Music for today : Crying shame by Jack Johnson
We continue on the serie we make with Cyril and Ruben.
A great cloudy and windy day in mountain. the place is "La peyrouse" near Grenoble.
Here is Ruben, crying in the wind and attempt to stay upright!! I love this shot because it gives the impression that Ruben try to cath the photography edges!!

My first upload was September 11, 2005, exactly 10 months ago to the day (without getting too technical about it).
If everything stays the same, it will take me 7 years and 6 months to catch up to where rebekka was a few months ago. ;~))
I won’t be able to adequately express to you how much you have enriched my experience here on flickr and how you have influenced the continuing development of my photography.
I truly thank you and very much appreciate all your visits, your kind and supportive comments, your choice to favorite some of my images and for creating the space into which I can grow as a photographer.
I am going to borrow something from Myla Kent and the way she presented some numbers for reference…
~ 100,000 > stream views
~ 13,000+ > images shot since August 2005
~ 8,598 > hopefully meaningful and sometimes humorous comments left by me in your images
~ 5,001 > the number of times the NYC Bridges & Tunnels set has been viewed, largely due to a Linus Gelber mention in a www.utata.org/ thread that Flickr chose to include on the Explore page
~ 2,965 > images of yours that I have chosen as a favorite
~ 1,770 > number of images posted in my stream and virtually all are public (note that I have posted just 414 shots this year after my early deluges into flickr - I was counseled in December by creativity+ (Tim) regarding uploading and image choices, which has had a major impact in what has happened in my stream)
~ 6 > the number of combined hours I have slept the last two nights
Truly - thank you all once again!!!
On our way to see the famous Mayon Volcano in Legaspi, Albay (Philippines), we stopped by at CWC (Camarines Sur Watersports Complex) where they have this wake boarding facilities. I have never taken a sports/action shot before and really knew zilch about what camera settings to use. Thanks to Elmer, aka Soul101 for the impromptu tutorial. It wasn't that easy and I was so thrilled to have caught this guy "in flight". I wish he didn't "fly" that high and allowed me to capture him without "clipping" a portion of his board. This genre of photography definitely demonstrates how unique each moment is - there are no second takes. This may not be the best sports/action shot there is, but if you will indulge me a bit, allow me to at least have one on my stream. And here's Jack Johnson's UPSIDE DOWN song to go with it (will open in a new window)

4. Minhas melhores idéias surgem a noite principalmente quando estou quase dormindo... daí eu caio no sono, esqueço tudo e nada vira realidade! :P
#Loser hehehe
7. O Flickr me viciou.. Fotografia, manipulação de imagens, criatividade, hobby, etc, Se eu já gostava antes imagina hoje! Ainda vou ganhar uns trocados com isso :)
8. Estou doida pra ir à praia!! Se eu pudesse morava perto de uma... (se eu pudesse eu seria um peixe) :)
[ se você foi adicionado nesta foto..considere-se 'taggeado' também :) ]

Who's to say
What's impossible
Well they forgot
This world keeps spinning
And with each new day
I can feel a change in everything
And as the surface breaks reflections fade
But in some ways they remain the same
And as my mind begins to spread its wings
There's no stopping curiosity
I want to turn the whole thing upside down
I'll find the things they say just can't be found
I'll share this love I find with everyone
We'll sing and dance to Mother Nature's songs
I don't want this feeling to go away
Who's to say
I can't do everything
Well I can try
And as I roll along I begin to find
Things aren't always just what they seem
I want to turn the whole thing upside down
I'll find the things they say just can't be found
I'll share this love I find with everyone
We'll sing and dance to Mother Nature's songs
This world keeps spinning and there's no time to waste
Well it all keeps spinning spinning round and round and
Upside down
Who's to say what's impossible and can't be found
I don't want this feeling to go away
Please don't go away
Is this how it's supposed to be
I’ve seldom seen this beautiful hairy flower, which is known as Pulsatilla vulgaris (or pasque flower), part of the buttercup family
Hairy becomes a little dreamy in the photo:-)
Taken at UBC Botanical Garden, Vancouver, B.C., Canada
chris surprised me with an early anniversary present tonight.
he learned to play this.
and he rocked it. well . . . as much as one can "rock" a jack johnson song. ;)
This was a scene worth waking up for
When I woke up
You planted me in my own body
Don't know why
But somehow it just feels so wrong
When you said I will be lonely
When you rise again I will have become the sun
And I will shine down upon you
As if you were the only one.

Now I was sitting waiting wishing
That you believed in superstitions
Then maybe you'd see the signs
But Lord knows that this world is cruel
And I ain't the Lord, no I'm just a fool
Learning loving somebody don't make them love you...

Always wanted to do a poster for Jack Johnson. So, when I did I knew just like his music I wanted it to be upbeat, summery and just loaded with fun-ness! The poster is just two colors and when the blue and yellow overlap it creates the 3rd color being green. Happy summer all you Jack Johnson fans. Can purchase poster here: www.tadcarpenter.com/store/posters/jack-johnson/
and all I got was this lousy picture.
I *honestly* took more than 200 photos
and this is all I have to show for it.
and I don't even think it's that good.
lousy day equals lousy picture.
makes sense.
[sotd - Jack Johnson_ Angel] (love this stuff)
I keep playing your part
But it's not my scene
Won't this plot not twist?
I've had enough mystery
Keep building it up
Then shooting me down
But I'm already down
Just sitting, waiting
Just wait a minute
Just sitting, waiting
Well, if I was in your position
I'd put down all my ammunition
I'd wonder why'd it taken me so long
But Lord knows that I'm not you
And If I was, I wouldn't be so cruel
'Cause waiting on love ain't so easy to do
Happy Monday.
Well I woke up this morning,
a rainbow filled the sky
Well that was God tellin' me,
Everything's gonna be alright

*** I was invited to play Flickr: Survivor Island by Carrie, a photo challenge game and although it scared the crap out of me to join, I was encouraged to jump in and do it...so being out of my comfort zone already, I chose this shot, a shot very different than what I usually take, to be my submission for round one.
Oh:) and Carrie is who I am up against in the first round...and her shot is gorgeous!! Thanks for the invite again Carrie - this is going to be fun, albeit intimidating to no end!***

...But you cant stop nothing
If you got no control
Of the thoughts in your mind
That you kept in, you know
You dont know nothing
But you dont need to know
The wisdoms in the trees
Not the glass windows
You cant stop wishing
If you dont let go
But things that you find
And you lose, and you know
You keep on rolling
Put the moment on hold
The frames too bright
So put the blinds down low
I need this here
Old train to breakdown
Oh please just
Let me please breakdown
I need this here
Old train to breakdown
Oh please just
Let me please breakdown
I wanna break on down
But I cant stop now

I like the relaxed mood here, the Malgudi Days feeling. Little or no processing, the green tones are kind of enhanced thanks to the cloud cover, and thank God it wasn't raining.. :)
Dedicated to an unexpectedly, brilliant time in Goa so far, inspite of all the odds..
It all happened so much faster
Than you could say disaster
Wanna take a time lapse
And look at it backwards
From the last one
And maybe thats just the answer

There's no combination of words
I could put on the back of a postcard,
No song that I could sing
But I can try for your heart,
Our dreams, and they are made out of real things,
Like a shoebox of photographs,
With sepiatone loving,
Love is the answer
At least for most of the questions in my heart ,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?
And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,
And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together
Better Together - Jack Johnson
I love him. More than the world could ever comprehend. So much, I saved this as 'socuteicouldpuke.jpg'. He's my life. He is my soul. He is my one and only. Yes, I know this is the same shirt I wore two days ago, but I needed some color so I threw it on :]
PS. I got a hair cut. [Yes][No][Maybe]?
PPS. I watched P.S. I Love You today, and I balled my eyes out... over and over and over..

Well I was sitting, waiting, wishing
You believed in superstitions
Then maybe you'd see the signs
The Lord knows that this world is cruel
I ain't the Lord, no I'm just a fool
Learning lovin' somebody don't make them love you
Must I always be waiting, waiting on you
Must I always be playing, playing your fool
I sang your songs, I danced your dance
I gave your friends all a chance
But putting up with them
Wasn't worth never having you
Maybe you've been through this before
But it's my first time so please ignore
The next few lines cause they're directed at you
I can't always be waiting, waiting on you
I can't always be playing, playing your fool
I keep playing your part
But it's not my scene
