Planted in the late 1980's, at Wollongbar TAFE Campus as Jacaranda semiserrata (which is now considered a synonym of J. puberula).
See here for main information.
With the unusually high rainfall this spring, our Jacaranda trees have been blooming profusely and their distinctive purple flowers are certainly adding a splash of colour around the place. Consequently part of our driveway is awash with purple as well. This is also my "fence Friday" shot, or should I say, what is left of our fence. We took the fence panels off this week as they were ones containing asbestos, so a bit of a relief that is now gone.
So happy fence Friday - and have a great weekend!!
