#Outcome portrait for Peter Gracey, 8 times marathon runner

Dan Savage and his husband Terry Miller came to Shadle Park High School last night to talk about their It Gets Better project.

Terry, whose memories of bullying at Shadle in the 1980s helped inspire the project, returned to his alma mater (it's mine too) for the first time in more than two decades.

Nice article by the Spokesman-Review.

On a personal note, it dawned on me midway through the evening that Terry and I once partied together back in our early 90's goth days. We talked a little after the event, and I told him how proud I am of him. I'm very proud of Shadle, too!

It Gets Better...In East Lothian was an event held on 23rd February 2012 in Haddington Town House. The evening featured speakers Councillor John McNeil and John Naples-Campbell and his students from Telford College. An award-winning film by Knox Academy was shown and the Loud and Proud Choir performed. The event was organised by the East Lothian Diversity Network and East Lothian Council Museums Service.

Apologies, there is no sound with this video clip.
