Over 600 trees were handed out to troops on Dec. 5 during the Trees for Troops event at Smith Lake. Soldiers who were E-6 and below could get a free tree during the giveaway. Cars started lining up three hours before the giveaway started to assure their spot in line.

Pvt. I was There, Patton Foundation Workshop shows support and encouragement to Soldiers who are recovering from PTSD by offering them a way to place their feelings on film. About two dozen Soldiers participated in the workshop from June 22 through 25 at the Warrior Transition Center, creating short films about their personal stories.
