It's 1 December 2009 and there is an Iris blooming in the garden - this sort of thing is supposed to happen in May - I guess it's another indication that the climate is really changing.

About 35 years ago I dug the parent plant of this iris out of a patch of ground that was going to be converted into a parking lot. They're still blooming prolifically today.

This image was shot just after a spring shower. I have used the water bottle technique before, but on this one, I wanted to point out that it wasn't "faked".

The flowers I have been posting come from my garden. The spring showers have really helped things along this year, and I'm enjoying the results.
