This iris is the only two toned Iris I've seen. This is not color enhanced, SOOC except for the frame. It really is a soft blue inside.

I was so happy that these bloomed this past year. Praying that they will be forgiving for my lack of care and bloom this year as well.

I used a Kenko Extension tube so that I could get in tight on this German bearded iris that I picked from the garden yesterday.

Strobist info: Main light was an SB600 hand held with a grid to direct the light onto the beard, and I used an SB600 in a softbox camera left, an SB700 in a softbox camera right for balanced fill light. The strobes were set to manual, and adjusted until I got the look I wanted. Triggered by the pop up flash on my D90 in commander mode.

Frequently seen labeled Iris reticulata 'Pixie', it is a sport of Iris 'Harmony' (Iris histrioides x Iris reticulata)

I planted this and some crocus together in a cheerful yellow pot. I don't remember what color the crocus are!
