I asked my mom to knit me an iPod sock based on the directions I found here.
I have a 3rd generation iPod, this picture is for size reference (she probably could have made the sock slightly shorter, but even at its length, it is still awesome!).
The color isn't exactly what I wanted, but otherwise, it looks good. :) I'm going to have her make me a couple more in different colors.
I'm also learning to knit to try to make these on my own, but my skill is nowhere near as good as my mom's quite yet.
Very first iPod sock I created. The yarn I used was called "Microspun" and while it was soft and shiny, it doesn't wear well for something used as often as the ipod sock was. I made this for David's iPod prior to the Europe trip. The new video iPods were notorious for easy scratching

I really made this pumpkin not because I like iPods particularly, but to illustrate the acceptance of commercialism in modern society. No one, no one, has said "Wow, you made that instead of a face?" or "Did Apple pay you to do that?" They just accept it as something they might see every day. An advertisement. They don't even realize that I, being an individual, could have carved anything...but chose something that was based on commercialism.
