That brings us to today. In 2001, the first Apple iPod was released. It boasted the ability to hold ‘1000 songs in your pocket’ and revolutionised music publishing and consumption in the most profound way yet. In the style of the Sony Walkman before it, the iPod is a portable device that plays music wherever you are, but, unlike the Walkman, no CD or tape needs to be carried with you.

this is the latest incarnation of my iPod compact flash adapter and the most satisfying yet ^_^
I'll be putting it on a monster test and carrying it around with me on the Chaos Communication Camp next week (I'll be there from tuesday evening till monday morning and I'm staying in the BSD Village). I can show it in working condition to anyone who wants to see it. *^_^*

But it was probably captured using a very expensive camera stand.
Shooting HD with your hands isn't an option.
Plus you need a tripod to use apps like Magic Shutter.
You can use the clear plastic box in which your iPod was living before you got it!
I had to replace my iPod Mini's battery today. Apple are very keen that this should not be a user-accessible thing, but if you spend £5 on a new battery and have some instructions, it's really pretty easy. The new battery even came with the tools I needed!
