My bro's formerly jailbroken iPod Touch became corrupted and wouldn't sync, so we had to restore it. Upon re-connecting the iPod to the computer, iTunes gleefully reported that there is no SIM card in the iPod.
So my brother paid $299 for an iPhone, yet it doesn't have a SIM card slot? Too bad today isn't April 1st.

I have a Mac mini connected to my TV set. With Mocha VNC Lite, a free app, on my iPod touch and the mini on my home LAN, I can control the mini from the couch. Er, touch. I'm still fumbling around getting used to the delays in what shows on the TV and what shows on the touch.
I got this fake iPod (MP4 player...) as a gift. Its crappiness is hilarious, it's *unusable* without getting frustrated in about a minute (imho of course), but the strangest part of it all is, it has a HP Invent logo on it and I know a little of where this came from... it really came from HP kid you not!
I can't think of anything else than that this is the product of some uncoordinated action from some marketing genius at some local HP office, who must've thought of this as being a nice gift to customers. The thing is, HP once had a real iPod and I can't imagine HP *really* approves of this, I mean, it is a fake product, what will this marketing genius think of next, a fake Rolex from HP? ^_^ Next to that, what kind of message should I be getting from this? I mean, it's really *really* crappy and its quality is much worse than of any HP product I can think of...
The Fring app on the iPod Touch. Happily Apple turned on the bluetooth option, and I found out the jack on this baby will take a 4 conductor plug. Woo woo!
Converting a busted six year old iPod 4G from hard disk to compact flash in 15 minutes, with the help of some cardboard and sticky blocks.
Step 5: Snap it back in to place, continue to charge and enjoy music, a lighter weight iPod and most probably longer battery life. Also note that the CF card has no moving parts, i.e. solid state and so it's less likely to break down like a conventional hard disk.
Now go and wipe your old (probably broken iPod hard disk and ensure you zero it out - if you can) and then responsibly dispose of it at a computer recycle centre or hardware workshop.
I crochet this Ipod Cozy to keep mine warm and save just few weeks ago. No pattern. I just used SC and some chains to make some transparencies. I used crochet cotton tread #10 in Light blue and light green at the same time. hook # 3.0mm.I added a picot edging and a chained cord.
There is a liitle pocket in the back for the earbuds. It's quite stretchy so actually is a multipurpose case and I can fit an ID or Drivers or library card or bus pass or my driver's license or my banking card, etc. Sometimes I carried my digital camera. Handmade by Pattygloria.

I found that my iPod was too difficult to use because I couldn't distinguish where the center button was without having to look at it. I added a soft Afro-ken sticker to it, and it works great. Plus it looks silly! I have afro-dog stickers on my laptop, my old mp3 player and my keitai also, so I guess it fits.
