My ipod shoot at college, studio flash combined with long exposure to bring out the display screen which was otherwise black. From a RAW file. Bix Beiderbecke playing at random #ipod #studio #Darlington #college #music #headphones #jazz
I bought a 40GB iPod about four years ago using a substantial number of Apple gift cards that I had been collecting from friends and family. It was the 3rd generation black and white model and I bought it right before they released the iPod Photo. It died from hard drive failure and was replaced under Apple Care. The replacement was replaced for the same reason and so was the replacement's replacement.
I decided last summer when my fourth iPod started flaking out on me again, that I would replace it with an iPod Touch as soon as they released a 64GB version. I was quite disappointed when Apple didn't release one last fall, but I was thrilled when they released one last week. I debated ordering one for a full 5 minutes before clicking send. It took me longer to figure out what to get engraved on the back.

I thought that I am a bit of a nerd when it comes to IT but Apple's proprietary files have defeated me.
Just recently my daughter's iPod Classic has come to light. I had no issues with transferring the music that she had on it but I completely failed to transfer the photos therein even with the help of Apple support. It's too old for the current software was the verdict after I spent countless hours researching it myself using 4 computers and three different operating systems.
in spite of the ultimate futility I did kind of enjoy the somewhat masochistic exercise. Many people enjoy doing crosswords, sudoku and puzzles at all of which I am quite useless but I do like messing with computers :)

Listening to the iPod really helped with the first 5 miles of this difficult climb at high altitude.
This is my current collection of iPods. I am still missing the 2nd & 5th generation classics, and all the iPod Touches.
Your iPod Touch will thank you for the cushy new home. This is a mango juice box.
The velvet lining makes it very smooth and provides some extra padding for protection. Wouldn't want to drop it, but I suspect it's more protected than the average silicone boot protector, or hard plastic sleeve.
In response to a question on the Dancing with Elephants family podcast (http://dwithe.com), here are some apps that I have on my iPod touch.
Compares the relative storage densities as they relate to price for all current Apple iPod's. Inspiried by today's release of the ultra-tiny Nano, general curiosity, and a lot of boredom.
The density figures show the storage density as gigabytes per ounces (gb / oz) or gigabytes per cubic inches (gb / in^3), all normalized by dividing price into the density. So for the in^3 data, we're looking at the price per amount of bits in a given volume, or price per "bit density," if you will. For the ounces data, it's instead the price per "bits per mass" or "specific capacity," if you're really willing to use some physics jargon (Gabe's fault, not mine).
The real motivation here was to compare the sizes (in both volume and mass) of all the iPods with respect to something we can all understand, money!
Major thanks to Gabe Rockefeller for helping out quite a bit with this work!
The raw data -- columns are size (in GB, figure the model out yourself), price/GB, price/(GB/oz), and price/(GB/in^3):
.512 || 193.35 || 150.81 || 206.35
1 || 129.00 || 100.62 || 137.67
2 || 99.50 || 149.25 || 150.44
4 || 62.25 || 93.38 || 94.12
20 || 14.95 || 88.21 || 92.68
60 || 6.65 || 42.56 || 49.08
Apple Store, Palo Alto. Introducing the iPod Hi-Fi today.
(For the curious, it sounds like a stereo =)
Apple just passed 50 million iPods sold. What’s NeXT?
Soon the iPod will be a method to generate and consume media.
That means a camera.
Ironically, this photo was taken with Kodak’s version of that vision, a pen-based camera with a 3” screen and WiFi connection to Kodak services.
I bought an old model "iPod photo 60GB".
Because a new function of video was unnecessary for me, and I do not have USB2.0 Mac.
[a estampa minha mãe me ajudou xD]

This is an homemade iPod that i did for my iPod Video!
I've used an old bracelet from my sister and Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas stamp, bought last year on Galeria do Rock, in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
100% Made by me, except for the stamp, my mom helped me out ;]

I got caught in the sudden downpour, so I decided to check out the iPod Touch at Myer
Melbourne Apple Shop. The iPod Touch is basically an iPhone, without the phone.
I liked the nice bright shiny screen. The touch-sensitive screen wasn't bad. The lack of scroll bars in Safari was a bit weird at first, but scrolling by a flick or a finger was quite intuitive. When you reach the bottom, or try to go past the top, the screen bounces, as if it were rubbery! :)
I managed to read most of (the first page of) Gizmodo using my thumb to thumb/scroll the page.
The onscreen keyboard was quite easy to use, even with my fat fingers, but for heavy typing, the two thumb approach didn't quite work out.
