Monday Morning sunrise over Seven Seas Lagoon at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort www.facebook.com/ChadSparkesPhotography/
Looking over Lough Bray Lower and the upper Glencree valley from the top of the Eagles Crag Co Wicklow.
I tried climbing the eagles crag a couple of years ago but gave up. I did not fancy descending back down it at the time - it is very steep and exposed and the ground was frozen on that occasion - and I was not sure of the other routes leading off the top back to the road.
Still with a couple of hours to kill this weekend I went up it to the top in cold overcast conditions and followed the path on the rim of the corrie wall back down to the Military Road. It turned out to be a fun little loop with some great views.
The house on the shore of the lough is Lough Bray House which was originally a shooting lodge connected to the Powerscourt Estate further down Glencree Valley. The roadside gatelodge is apparently the highest inhabited house in Ireland and I guess this now applies to Lough Bray House since it is a private residence and slightly higher up the valley.

I posted this a few days ago...then took it down because I was not sure about the colour. Still not sure but here is is again
The Military Road curling round the Oasis and heading down towards Glenmacnass in County Wicklow. Shot from the top of Carrigshouk.
I have been driving under the steep Eastern face of Carrigshouk for years and often wondered what the view was like from the top so took a quick look on Sunday.
The Oasis is an old section of woodland that is now surrounded by forestry and I am not sure where the name originates from, possibly just the hillwalking community. The lake in the distance is Lough Dan which sits under Knocknacloghoge to its left.
Not a bad location really for relatively small effort to reach.

Girona falls in love with me
The city of Girona - also called the Catalan Florence - is a splendid city.
This nickname of 'Catalan Florence' goes back to the time of the magnificent Mayor Joaquim Nadal Farreras; but Girona 2018 is a lot more.
Girona has a certain resemblance to the magnificent Occitan city - in the French State - of Montpellier.
Girona is a city where culture, wisdom, tolerance and diversity are breathed.
It is an outstanding university city; with good services and communications, and in which an integrating modernity is perceived, and with very appropriate touches of sophistication, which becomes a place with a high quality of life.
Girona could be perfectly the capital of Catalonia. Moreover, it should be the capital of the next Catalan Republic.
Girona, Catalan Florence, the small Montpellier; The gray and levitic city of the 60s and 70s of the last century, has become a splendid, open, European and free-thinking city.

Theodore would bolt if he was on the other side of the fence! I was saying goodbye to my sister and Theodore won't settle down if he is let out so he is acting sad, lol! Such a cute Yorkie.
Breathtaking sunrise over Lake Buena Vista Florida.
When I was moving back to Chicago from New Orleans, my navigation system told me to exit the highway. I did as told and after driving on pretty and winding roads in either Arkansas or Missouri, I came across this. Definitely had to stop and snap a picture. I soon got back on the highway and did manage to hit Chicago at rush hour. But, in my navigation system’s defense, she was British and probably why she was confused.
When friends saw this, a new friend in NOLA said, "That looks like a scene from The Walking Dead. Stay away from the trees. That’s where the zombies are."
An old friend in Illinois said, "Your navigation system knew you like to take photos of old cemeteries. That’s why she brought you there."
I have fascinating friends.

iPhone 5C advertising on the London Underground, December 2013.
"The iPhone 5c is a smartphone that was developed and marketed by Apple Inc. It is part of the sixth generation of the iPhone. The device was unveiled on September 10, 2013, and released on September 20, 2013, along with its higher-end counterpart, the iPhone 5s. The 'c' in the iPhone 5c's name stands for 'color'.
The iPhone 5c is a variant of the iPhone 5, with similar hardware specifications but a hard-coated polycarbonate shell instead of the aluminum of the original iPhone 5."
