de Wilhelminakerk is een van de twee protestantse kerken in Bussum, gelegen aan het Wilhelminaplantsoen in het centrum. De kerk is een laat werk (1926) van Tjeerd Kuipers en is een gemeentelijk monument.

Even the 'back door' entrance of Nell Gwynn House, located on Draycott Avenue in the Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, isn't exactly shabby.
This splendid art-deco building was designed in the 1930s by architect G. Kay Green as a glamorous central London home for those who travelled or lived outside the capital. It contains a number of apartments of varying sizes, some of which are available for short-term lets - at a price.
The front of the building on Sloane Avenue is sumptuously presented but a little overstated for my taste - the less ostentatious rear entrance, for me, is rather more in tune with the overall elegance of the building. It would seem I know my place in life's pecking order......

a large towering tree in the neighborhood I grew up in seems to define my insignificance and need of strength as it still stands here years later.
Took advantage of the nice weather today for a ride to Arley Hall in Cheshire. Coffee, cake and a walk around the formal gardens - plenty to enjoy.
Built between 1832-1845 in a style that became known as Jacobethan, the structure is Grade II Listed, as is its adjacent chapel. Currently home to Viscount Ashbrook and his family, the house has featured in a number of filming shoots over the years, perhaps most notably as the home of the character Thomas Shelby in 'Peaky Blinders'.
A pity it was a hard-helmet rather than a flat-cap sort of day though. Goes to full-screen quite well.

I took a ride to Leeds yesterday to meet an old college mate for lunch, and was pleasantly surprised to catch DB Cargo 'Shed' 66176 rolling through Frodsham with the previous day's 1.49pm Tilbury Container Services - Ince & Elton Encirc Works (6M63). The cargo was presumably sand for the glass manufacturing process undertaken there.
It was a non-photography day and the train kind of kind of snook-up on me. Thankfully the phone was to hand and put to good use .... in a heartbeat, you might say.
