While in Pittsburgh, PA I have been able to see some and try some fairly nice brews. This is one of them, on tap at the Rivertowne Pub. It's a hearty IPA, dark amber with a nice head and solid lacing. The smell is of hops and citrus. It has a nice malt balance but the taste is overwhelmingly and very nicely bitter hops.
Yum. Not too strong on the alcohol, so this one went down well while enjoying a hockey game on the big screen.

$5 for an IPA. Way more than it should be, but hey, it's a fancy shmancy bar. I nursed this one for an hour to make it last.
From the July Brews and Views meetup at Bal-Mar in Ballard.
Here is a nice easy drinking IPA from Widmer Brothers out of Portland.
6% ABV so you can have more than one. As long as you’re in your backyard like I was.
There are better IPA’s out there. Stone, Dogfish Head to name two. But this is an OK beer. I can’t remember drinking any of their other products but I might have to try some.
Have a nice week fellow beer drinkers.
