Widmer Bros. Pitch Black IPA 6.5%. Delicious dark IPA. Smooth Dark and Hoppy. I recommend this 7.5/10.
I've now been to Corsica five times over twenty odd years and Pietra are constantly developing and bringing in new beers from the three they produced on my first visit in 2003. This is a newie and wasn't around on my last visit in 2018. My favourite has always been the ambree but I've tried their Serena, Colomban, Blanche, Blonde and Rossa but this IPA was far better than the others and comparable with their flagship Ambree. Top fermenting and made with citra and elixir hops. 6% and an IBU of 40 and slightly hazy and orangey in colour. A great beer. As consumed at Le Conti, Bastia, Corsica.
