First time to try out this brwery. This is an above average IPA, but not on the same level as some of the excellent ones we have all sampled. It has a good hoppy aroma and pours an amber color with a small head with a nice lacing as you drink. The taste is of course very bitter and hoppy with a bit of a malt balance and a nice finish.

Worth a try if you have not tried this one and I plan on sampling some more from this brewery.

Oh these guys at Flying Dog really know their stuff.

Snake Dog IPA is another fine example of a well crafted IPA. Not just a regular ale with more hops, but a brew crafted to showcase the wonderful flavors a proper blend of hops can bring.

Brewhouse and Kitchen and a small, independent pub group who are more obsessed than most pubs with the wonderful world of beer. They seem to quite comfortably fill the niche between the big chains (such as Youngs) and the relatively new trend for microbreweries and gastropubs that are you've probably noticed popping up all over the country. I've only been to this one but the concept is pretty well executed - the interior has a somewhat industrial look to it - brick, concrete, copper beer production apart us (which is functional btw) - and light fixtures made with discarded beer bottles (behold: the Punk IPA Lampshadeâ¦). I am told that the site was originally a tramshed but now it holds people instead of trams, and though trams don't like beer, people often do.

In keeping with said beery focus, Tasting Britain was invited down to a press preview for their very first 'Beer Masterclass & Beer Can Chicken Supperclub' hosted by Head Brewer and generally happy guy, Pete (@SwaziPete). This took place at their site in Highbury - which opened in 2015, around June I think, and the onsite microbrewery was soon after christened 'Brewbury Corner'. It's located on the roundabouts by Highbury and Islington station, just down the road from Arsenalâs Emirates stadium. Apparently this was the site of a former sports bar (which may or may not have been known as 'the Junction'). They still have a connection to the club - at least one of their beers pays tribute to the team, âThe Goalscorer'. On my way out the door, I saw some people from North London's CAMRA ending their night here - which is a pretty fkn strong endorsement for a place (at least in terms of the beer offering!).

The thing I like most about B&K is that each site has its own microbrewery (not just this one) and each microbrewery creates a set of unique beers that pay tribute to the people and the culture of the local area. No drinks menu is exactly the same. This goes with a rather immense selection of draught and bottled beers - many of which I'd not heard of. Obviously you can get yourself a wine or something stronger here (if inclined...) but the focus is definitely on the beers. As for the foods, I can't really say too much about it, having only tried a few varieties of their Beer Can Chicken. For those of you who aren't vegetarian or vegan, and have yet to try a beer can chicken, it is essentially a whole roast chicken, traditionally cooked with a beer can inside it. This means that it's infused with beer - so if you really like roast chicken AND beer then you might want to eat one and see what happens :3

It doesn't look very IPA-ish to me. I do know for sure that this beer is by Iron Horse Brewery, though.
