Boneshaker IPA is brewed by Amsterdam Brewery, a Toronto craft beer pub and this trailer was spotted in Guelph. The obvious featured logo is the skeleton riding the bicycle.
Poor spelling; incorrect identification of acronym; history timeline off by 100 years; bad grasp of beer flavor and style; disregard of hops, a primary characteristic of IPA; unintentionally humorous use of scare quotes.
Why not?

Taken verbatim from the web page of a large, local food shop:
"What Double IPA stands for? Indian Pale Ale with a higher alcohol content, normally above 7.5% by volume.. IPA’s are an early form of “light beer” from pale malts made for the East India Company in the 18th century. Since then, the varieties and flavors are influenced geographically."

Snake Dog IPA is a 7,1% abv India Pale Ale from Maryland based Flying Dog Brewery. It's a smooth and rich IPA, where the strong hops flavor is balanced by a rich malt content. A yummy beer!
This big beer is the first in their small batch project . Not your typical IPA, instead, this is a Double IPA with a big sweet mouthfeel that is balanced by agressive hoppiness. The brewers employ a British Ale yeast which imparts its own aromatic qualities. This Copper monster comes in at 9.2% ABV. Be ready.

Rating: 3.9/5.0
Aroma: 7/10
Appearance: 4/5
Taste: 8/10
Palate: 4/5
Overall: 16/20
The pour was a hazy medium amber orange with an average (1-2 finger) white sudsy head that slowly receded, down to a medium film and large collar with excellent sticky lacing.
The aroma was of grain malts, floral and pine hops and a soapy yeast with notes of caramel and citrus (grapefruit and orange).
The taste was a bit malty with a hint of caramel and a mild citrus sweetness early on, progressing with a nice bitter piney hop taste, a bit of grapefruit with a mildly bitter floral ending. The flavor lasted an average time following the swallow, with a hoppy citrus taste left behind to linger on the taste buds.
Mouthfeel was light in body with a dry yet somewhat creamy texture and a medium carbonation.
Overall this is a very simple IPA, a dose of hops, caramel and a touch of citrus. Sometimes simplicity is the best way to go. Simply delicious...

IPA
(Stone Brewing Company, Escondido CA)
Fair
This is essentially a Stone IPA made with Belgian yeast. It poured a golden-yellow. Had a slight flavor of Belgo-funk and nice carbonation. However the taste left me underwhelmed. Maybe I was expecting something a bit stronger (along the lines of Victory's Wild Devil perhaps). The mouthfeel was lighter than some of the other Belgian-style IPA's Ive tried.
Price point aside, I'd much rather be drinking a Chouffe Houblon Dobbelen IPA Tripel which is more complex and more satisfying.
The boston.com beer columnist (www.boston.com/lifestyle/food/blogs/99bottles/) posited that these are among the best IPA's in the world. We decided to find out for ourselves. Results: 3.5 for the Pliny; 3.5 for the Heady Topper; two tasters shocked that Lunch wasn't better.
