I passed the back of this house, known as Ionic Villa, on a walk along the Regent's Canal this morning. I felt compelled to take a look (and a photo) round the front. It is one of six villa houses in Regent's Park by Quinlan Terry. Designed in a range of classical styles, they look as though they have been there for many, many years. However they are relative new builds, having been constructed between 1988 and 2002. The detail on this one, 'Ionic Villa', indicates that it was completed in 1989.
The coat of arms indicates an Indian connection with two royal elephants supporting a shield and crown, while the phrase 'Truth Always Triumphs' is the national motto of India, "Satyameva Jayate" (Sanskrit: सत्यमेव जयते satyam-eva jayate; lit. "Truth alone triumphs.") is a mantra from the ancient Indian scripture Mundaka Upanishad.
The rear of the house is shown on the following photo. www.flickr.com/photos/kevertonphoto/40181206593/in/photos...
I understand (via an internet search) that Ionic Villa may be owned by Dr Apurv Bagri, who combines commanding interests in metal trading with a directorship of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and academic roles at City University and London Business School (LBS is a short stroll from Ionic Villa through Regent’s Park). The family have also endowed a number of sizeable charitable ventures. His late father, Baron Bagri, a self-made entrepreneur from India, was the former owner of Hanover Lodge, a larger house, next door and over the fence, which was sold to Russian oligarch Andrey Goncharenko for £120 million in 2012.
Circular Ionic garden temple, mid 18th Centuty, possibly designed by James Paine, for George Fox-Lane, 2nd Lord Bingley. Part of a formal early C18 garden laid out to a plan c1725-8 by John Wood for Robert Benson, 1st Lord Bingley. The Black Fen Pleasure Ground is a mile distant from Bramham Park. It is divided by alleys and vistas radiating from round points.

The Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek (Glypto-, from the Greek root glyphein, to carve and theke, a storing-place) is an art museum in Copenhagen, Denmark. The collection is built around the personal collection of Carl Jacobsen (1842–1914), the son of the founder of the Carlsberg Breweries.
On 8 March 1888 Carl Jacobsen donated his collection to the Danish State and the City of Copenhagen on condition that they provided a suitable building for its exhibition.
It was Carl Jacobsen who chose the name for the museum, with inspiration from Ludwig I's Glyptothek in Munich, as well as Wilhelm Dahlerup as the architect for the assignment.
The new museum opened first on 1 May 1897. At first it only included Jacobsen's modern collection with French and Danish works from the 18th century.
In January 1899 Carl Jacobsen donated his collection of Antique art to the museum which made an expansion necessary.
It was designed by Hack Kampmann while Dahlerup designed a winter garden which connected the new wing to the old building. It was inaugurated in 1906.
In 1996 the museum was once again extended, this time with an infill constructed in one of its courtyards to the design of Henning Larsen.
In 2006, the building underwent a major renovation programme under the direction of Danish architects Dissing + Weitling.[6] and Bonde Ljungar Arkitekter MAA.

Actually, this is just a facsimile on a concrete pedestal in a parking lot, but as a Greek girl trying to remain in touch with her heritage, I thought it made for a good photo-op :-)
A beautiful day and the artistic talents of make-up artist and photographer Amanda Richards made this a lovely occasion.
Wishing all of you the very best during these challenging times, and hoping that you remain safe and healthy.
Special thanks to Haydn Roelofs. I thanked him for giving me the bunny buddies - something I have wanted to get since ionic has released them. XD He was also very generous allowing me to litter a corner of his land for the scene setting.

Isn't it lovely to spend some time with your special someone re-reading the sweet messages written by him? :)
Love at first sight
I knew it from the moment
when you said hello
I hoped you felt it too
but we were both so shy
how was I to know
when you reached for my hand
I knew you were the one
We laughed and talked for hours
like I'd known you forever
Like... a... dream or something from a book
True love has found me
One star..
brighter than the others
Two Hearts..
beating for each other
Now I see wishes really come true

Pompeii’s Basilica lies adjacent to the southern part of the Forum and the view here is from the east end of the Basilica looking directly into the Forum. On the far left of the photograph one can see the bronze statue of a centaur created by the late Polish sculptor Igor Mitoraj, the same artist who created the large bronze sculpture featured in my previous image, #0544.
As in other Roman cities and towns, the Forum was the heart of Pompeii’s daily life. It was a thriving market and trade centre and a pedestrian mall from which all vehicular traffic was excluded.
The Basilica, like other basilicas in the Roman world, was the centre of business negations, town management and the administration of justice. As such it was the most impressive public building in Pompeii. Built around 120 BCE, it is also the oldest surviving example of its type. The basic floor plan was later adopted by many Christian churches, also referred to as basilicas.

The Temple of Artemis in Sardes (Sardis) was the fourth largest Ionic temple in the world. Originally built in 300 BC by the ancient Greeks, the temple was renovated by the Romans in the 2nd century AD. During the Roman period it served also as a temple of the imperial cult.

It took me such a long time to prepare for this picture. One of the reasons of being slow is when I saw those cute animals, I was reminded of a special someone. He likes animals much more than I do and he used to spoil me with lovely gatcha animals. Well, ignore my crap. Enjoy.
I'm not a movie maker, I'm not a Machininist. But sometime, for blog some stuff, creating a decor is not so easy for me. Lot of people have this talent. Not me ^^ (don't worry, I have some hidden talents).
Sometimes, I made videos for blogging some items or dances animations. But Flickr just want 3 mn of video.
And you know how I'm lazy to edit and edit and edit.
So I decided to make LIVE VIDEOS.
I don't need to edit or cut, and I have more than 3 minutes.
I did 2 Videos live for DJ who was playing at Black Milk Club and this sunday, I made my first VIDEO BLOGGING LIVE.
I thank a lot the people who said "ok" for the TP and for took place in the decor (their name is in the screenshot, if I forgot nobody, I hope).
So, this video was for :
Decor : La Haciendita from IONIC available at The Chapter Four
Car : Vintage Roadtrip's car from NOMAD available at Collabor88
Car : Summer Drive's car from MGSIT-STORE -bento available at Okinawa event
Decor: My Long Way set from SOY available at Collabor88
THE WHOLE VIDEO IS HERE and it was live so.... you can see the cursor that I can't hide with Shadowplay for Nvidia ^^, and you can see that I still use a non-3D mouse, and you can see that I'm a fake Spielberg and I'm proud of that !
Thanks all :)))
PS - I can't find and tag Anamariah Renee.... if someone can ;)
In these last days the Ionic coast of Sicily has been scourged by a violent cyclone, that we called friendly "Pippina".
