I can't say enough about The Shore House by Ionic..from the textures, to the layout, its simply amazing..and this huge porch well, that speaks for itself.....

The Ryan sofa and chair by Shutterfield come in PG and MM versions..the detail on these is absolutely fantastic, down to the tiny bolt on the leg of the furniture...

Samstag maritim – Gestern (21.04.2023) gegen 13.30 Uhr läuft der 250 Meter lange Rohöltanker „IONIC ALTHEA“ auf dem Rostocker Seekanal in die freie Ostsee. Der Tanker hatte Rohöl aus Loop (USA) gebracht und verlässt nun unbeladen den Rostocker Ölhafen, um sich vorerst auf die Reede vor Warnemünde zu legen.

Die „IONIC ALTHEA“ wurde 2016 in Dienst gestellt und fährt unter der Flagge der Marshall Islands.

Aktuell (22.04.2023 07.00) liegt der Tanker noch auf Reede vor Warnemünde und wartet auf die nächste Order.

Il Tempio di Vesta risalente alla prima metà del I° secolo a.C. è a pianta circolare ,in posizione dominante sulla roccia che precipita nel profondo spacco della valletta ; delle 18 colonne scanalate oggi ne rimangono 10 .Il tempio accanto ,ritenuto della Sibilla Tiburtina ,è più antico ( forse del II secolo a.C. ) di forma rettangolare e di stile Ionico , composto da un basamento di travertino su cui poggiano le pareti locali con semicolonne

English :The Temple of Vesta

Dating back to the first century B.C., it is circular in shape ,in a dominant position on the rock that falls into the deep gap of the valley ;Of the 18 fluted columns today 10 remain . The temple next to il considered the Sibilla Tiburtina ,is older ( perhaps from the2nd century B.C.) , rectangular and Ionic style ,composed of a base of travertine on which the side walls rest with semi-columns .

Armenia : The Peripteral Temple on the Garni podium ( of 77 AD ). An important archeological site that remains a testimony of the Hellenistic culture in Armenia .

Italiano : Prima dell'epoca Cristiana il regno Armeno era disseminato di templi e monumenti agli Dei Pagani , ma i primi Cristiani li distrussero costruendo le chiese sulle fondamenta degli altari precedenti . Tra le più importanti vestigia di questo periodo storico si colloca il sito di Garni ,noto soprattutto per il tempio Ionico periptero sul podio del I° secolo d.C. Il tempio a forma di Partenone . L'edificio più famoso e meglio conservato fu costruito nel 77 d.C. da re Tiridate I° d'Armenia e fu probabilmente finanziato da Nerone . Before the Christian era the Armenian kingdom was littered with temples and monuments to the pagan gods, but the early Christians destroyed them by building churches on the foundations of the previous altars. Among the most important vestiges of this historical period is the site of Garni known above all for Ionic temple peripterous on the podium of the 1st century AD. The temple in the shape of a Parthenon. The most famous and best preserved building was built in 77 AD. from King Tiridate I of Armenia and was probably financed by Nero. The Temple was later used as the summer residence of the Armenian kings. Although looted and rebuilt several times, the Temple is still standing thanks to the reconstruction work of 1969-79. The Baths of the III century are of particular interest. They have a well-preserved cistern and a floor decorated with a colorful mosaic depicting Greek mythological figures. An inscription in Greek remained intact recites "without receiving anything in return we struggled" whose meaning is not clear.

Built between 1930 - 1934, designed by architect Constantin Jotzu and by engineer Emil Prager, at the beginning it was the headquarter of the King of Romania - Ferdinand I Hohenzollern - Sigmaringen University Foundation from 1914 - 1927.

Currently, the University Library, one of the four central libraries in Romania, holds one of the most impressive collections of ancient books.

The interior is in Carrara marble and Venetian mosaics, while the exterior is adorned by ionic columns, neo Doric pilasters, small triangular pediments and medallions with the most important personalities of the national culture.

The Library bears the name of the great Romantic poet Mihai Eminescu
